Halloween Ends was a pretty decent horror movie, but a terrible Halloween movie. After the masterpiece that was Halloween 2018, the fact that both sequels went so far awry. I do honestly think some of the issues with those was making it a trilogy. A two-parter would have allowed less sprawl in the second movie for the Evil Dies Tonight thing to get repetitive and boring, and then the Cory stuff in the third one could've just waited for something else. Overall nice picks. I recently rewatched Fear Street. I think the second one would've played better if I hadn't just seen American Horror Story 1984 -- which for its first half set on the first night at camp was a pretty solid love letter to 80s camp slashers, but fell apart during the second half time-skip. The first one was just really uneven and the third one was fun, but because the previous two were so all over the place it made it harder to feel invested. Highly enjoyable lists, y'all.

@RetroToyPrincess Yeah, there were all kinds of good threads but Halloween 2018 was so good and would have been the perfect capstone.

I dont like rewatching the first fear street, the straight cis guy jerkin whilst there was a lesbian s*x scene and interracial s*x scene might be commentry on p*rn and white cis het men sexualizing minorities. Maybe im giving too much credit. That scene made me uncomfortable because of the cis straight guy. Also her drowning her girlfriend was too much for me, but the rest of the series was awesome and the bread cutter kill.
Fun video, thank you, subscribed ❤

@artsleep8586 I do have a couple of videos, one that is one best horror to watch during Pride, and one on They/Them from Peacock. I have I Saw The TV Glow on my watch list, and I've heard great things. I'll percolate other great queer horror and get back to you when I've had a good night's sleep! Lol

@artsleep8586 I really love the documentary Scream, Queen. It's all about Mark Pattinson and the making of Nightmare on Elm Street 2.
Spiral is a Shudder movie that is really good, really confronts homophobia and general fear/hatred of "otherness", but adds a supernatural element.
And my favorite slasher will always be Sleepaway Camp. The sequels do have some pretty gross transphobic stuff in them, but the original has a much more nuanced commentary on gender and sexuality than people give it credit for.
