This is good if you’re happy with a cold loft. An alternative is insulation between the rafters ( with a space left for ventilation between the insulation and the felt ) - more costly but makes the loft more usable for storage
My bro had the same issue, even tho he had vents in the soffits. I was the idiot who had to get on the roof and fit Marley mains, vent tiles. That was fun! No roof ladders. Improvised.
