Thank you for this review, Byrd. My original copy was absconded by my sister in '82, and I never got another copy. Simplicity put out 7705 in '76 which is a facsimile and also allows for the use of both stretch and woven fabrics. Then in '94, the dress was re-released as Butterick 3305 which calls for moderate stretch knits only. Whilst there are a few differences in lengths and widths, I am reluctant to purchase the reissue at it's current price. So your review is highly valuable to me. Again, thank you so much for sharing.
Congratulations on receiving recognition from Simplicity and Mimi G!! That is great news! Love this pattern and your suggestions for modifications! Thanks for sharing Byrd!❣️
I didn’t know they had that fabric in knit. I have in a charmeuse. I love it.🥰🥰🥰🥰 Thanks for sharing. I need to get that pattern. It’s a bit pricey right now so I’m waiting until a sale come through. Have a wonderful and blessed day and stay safe.
That dress looks great on you! I love the fit, the pattern you choose, everything! I’m so encouraged by your skill level after only a few years. I’m just beginning this year and can’t wait to be able to wear what i make.
I just ordered this pattern ( phew, I usually only buy patterns on Joann sales), and really appreciate your input. Will use a knit first before using a challis
Actually , Miss Von Furstenberg is sill alive according to Wikipedia. Your dress is beautiful. Congratulations. on being asked to create this masterpiece.
Really cute. I liked that Mimi G, Brittany, Anitabydesign, and I think TIMA by FK made the dress & it looks good on all of you! You all used different colors & added sew alongs. 😊
Simplicity, Vogue, Butterick, KnowMe, and McCall are all under one company - we call it the Big 5 Pattern Company. Let me know if that helps. Thanks for watching and pls subscribe :)
Would you sew a knit or woven DVF?

You inspired me to the DVF dress. My Minvera fabric just arrived two days ago. Can't wait to get started.
Can’t wait to see it. Did you choose a knit or woven?
I choose a Soft Polyester Crepe.
Great review! I’m looking forward to making mine.
Hope you enjoy it! Please tag me so I can see it

@@tcdenhistoryyes you are correct. Thank you
This reminds me of wraps I made in late 60's early 70's. Really nice

You're welcome and thanks for watching
Wonderful walk through ❤
Thank you
Beautiful dress! I’m thinking of doing a wrap dress in knit, but not this one. I have like 3 wrap dress patterns already.
👍🏽
Diane Von Furstenberg has not passed on. That needs to be edited.😮
I edited the description to clarify this and acknowledge my error
There is a sew along Mimi G did the tutorial.
Mimi G did an amazing job
