I think Acola is the only Steve I genuinely find entertaining, it's a wonderful mix of gathering materials and playing aggressive AND Steve specific tech
I feel like DDee does this too but a bit less technical and a lot more about his personality playing to the crowd
Ngl I love watching all Steve's because they play exactly how I expect them too. And also because idk I like watching patient play. This game isn't fast enough for me to find it annoying
I used to think Steve was boring minus the haha funny block man hitting thing. But then Acola showed up and combined good fundies with Steve cheese and now I'm in.

Cosmos has been THE aegis player. Solo main and getting good albeit somehwat mix results. Even leo had a better aegis. Even made him switch off the character, too.
I'm a fan of Cosmos but he just chokes way too much, others such as Leo and Spargo could be better than him but they just don't enjoy the character that much

10:10 was hype, this might be a bit depressing to be honest for those that 22 and up. Sorta makes you think those who spent time doing this professional vs youth who enjoyed the game and have nothing much to lose here. Young mans game

What is footstool out of shield
If you mash double jump right when an opponent lands on you, you footstool them. Since jumping is one of the fastest out of shield options, and the footstool animation traps your opponent for a few frames, it's a great oos option. Steves use it a lot because of their busted down air, but characters like sephiroth and zss who have no oos options also benefit a lot from it, and even someone like wolf can use it with up B to take stocks early
The art for this tourney has been so good
to be clear, the oldest gen z at the time this was recorded was 26. Not the same generation as larry, or mango, but not necessarily young. The youngest however were barely teenagers so I guess the thumbnail is fair.

what are the set rules?
Basically every player has 3 stocks. If a player loses a stock but beats their opponent, they have to lose that stock next game at the beginning of the match. Basically you get 3 stock and as long as you keep them, you can keep playing. Tweek for example took out 5 stocks while having 3 himself.

Someday soon people will be wanting a ban for Steve, he and Kazuya are the only characters with the potential to be this game's smash4 bayo, but Steve is easy to use and forces approachs like no other character can do
I really hope they ban atleast just steve. Kazuyas neutral is really easy to play around for the most part and his disadvantage is cheeks. Steve doesnt have a disadvantage. you literally hit steve into advantage state, every single option he can hit is the correct option. Sure acola is good but the fact he plays steve kills it for me, until i see him take sets with not steve i will say he is carried.
