This looks pretty cool! Whenever I inevitably end up picking up a Sega Saturn to experience its awesome, I'll have to be sure to pick this up! Looks fun to play, and that music is hella catchy
Wow, a Brazilian donated a game to make this review possible! Very remarkable... I had no idea you could donate a game to have it reviewed on InecomCompany channel...
Reminds me of another game called virtua racing which is also for the saturn. Both look fun and sounds better when you're using the saturn racing wheel.
this looks much better than most PS1 racing games, if only more people bought the saturn and if only it had more support then sega might still be here today with consoles same goes for dreamcast, every 1 wants a dreamcast now but not back then. Live on SEGA.
"Intro-ducing Sega Saturn! Waaa.. Hit it!" This system is so underrated. It was bad marketing on Sega's part because they had a good system, but at the time people wanted graphics (i.e 16-bit, 32-bit,64-bit, and finally 128-bit). Sega wanted to produce an arcade style console with a polished control system at a more affordable price than Neo-Geo, while Sony came along and used their marketing strength to bring a huge library of games and focused on 3D after being rejected by Nintendo.
Who doesn't miss fast paced chess piece like low polygon count trees? Actually in all seriousness this game looks pretty fun and seems to control well. The pop up may be an issue for a racing game but, I would have to play it myself to tell.. Awesome video!
Yeah but also PS1 suffered this problem but in a more subtle way (just see 1994 Ridge Racer). In this game entire buildings appear istantly when you're really close. Surely Saturn was a complicate console to program for.
I couldn't play this game long sadly. The way the camera jumps around when going up or down hill is just painful. I will stick to Gran Turismo 1, thank you very much!
Those car models are really good for 1995, nicely textured.
I love Mark. The guy's got the best voice for reviews. EVER. The last CGR will be a sad day.
I'm from the Future....IT SUCKS
played this game to death back in 96' in tears here. I still have it!
Is it me or was 90's video game music so awesome? Streets Of Rage for example has awesome music!
4:27 That's the only time Ukyo Katayama won anything in F1.
Looks pretty good, shows the Saturn could do 3D racing games.
This plays great with the steering wheel in cockpit view. Turn the rear view mirror off for a bit better frame rate aswell. Great game!
Another awesome interview. I wish mark would do as many review as he did a year ago
I love the power slides. I wish that happened in really life.
Can't believe how good this looks after all these years

this game looks great, i need to play it
You know why I like CGR? Because Mark lives in the past.
CGR parties like it's 1996 and I love it.
impressive graphics for the saturn
We all need more CGR… EDF EDF EDF
That winner music IS awesome. I want the soundtrack now
Now my favorite CGR episode because of the Akira reference at 1:22.
Well he is doing one a day, I personally can't handle much more Mark awesomeness than that!
looks pretty cool, im going to look into this one!
Was there an arcade version of this game? I'm pretty sure I remember playing one F1 arcade game from SEGA, when I was younger.
Those were the good times when NOKIA was still undeniably number 1 in the mobile phones and Mika Häkkinen drove in the F1!
glad you kept the classic intro :) i miss having a sega saturn its a bitch to emulate these days
That Akira reference made me smile (:
I just read your comment in marks voice...This is awesome.
actually they may not care but since i want a Vita really badly ill ask, how well do the apps work on it?
Reminds me of another game called virtua racing which is also for the saturn. Both look fun and sounds better when you're using the saturn racing wheel.
omg, I never noticed the similarities in gameplay to Virtua Racing, and I love V.R. Too bad the real Saturn V.R. was demolished by Time Warner.
this looks much better than most PS1 racing games, if only more people bought the saturn and if only it had more support then sega might still be here today with consoles same goes for dreamcast, every 1 wants a dreamcast now but not back then. Live on SEGA.
I would have killed for a Dreamcast version of SCUD Race, and if Dreamcast had a little more life in it, I'm certain we would have gotten that game.
that was an exciting time for f1, they had the super powerful engines and Williams was putting fancy stuff in their cars.
formula 1 for the ps1 was a good game and it even has the sega mega cd promo music theme on the main menu

I never knew this game , it looks good
Anyone know where I can get this game's soundtrack?
Wish I had played this one back when I had the Saturn...
So where can I buy this cup of warm warter?
This game looks sweet. I loved Sega's aracde racers.
Very cool game! It is like "Pole Position '95!" except you don't explode if you hit anything.
Japanese power metal FTW!!! 1995 is the year that the initial D manga came so everyone was inspired to make awesome racing games xD
Who doesn't miss fast paced chess piece like low polygon count trees? Actually in all seriousness this game looks pretty fun and seems to control well. The pop up may be an issue for a racing game but, I would have to play it myself to tell.. Awesome video!
Neo Tokyo from Timesplitters 2?
I fucking love 90's computer game music! Someone upload that 'Winner' score!
Neo City Novice looks just like Fuji from Pole Position, but without the left turn after the first corner.
Love the Akira reference.
do a review on the gameboy light not sp the gameboy light that was only released in japan
Loved video. Do a monster hunter review mark!
the greatness of saturn
Do I see real transparencies there in the smoke and dust?
Why is mark doing less reviews than a year ago??
Can it play current PSP games though?
This looks awesome!
love that soundtrack!
This actually looks good and im not a big racing fan but I may buy this.
1:23 Nice Akira reference!
YES! Excellent review, you must've played the crap outta this game. Love the mid 90s sega glory too.
well that's why your car's indestructible, it's sponsored by Nokia.
Anyone notice that tachometer is misleading?
Tyres?
I prefer F1 Challenge '99-'02 on the PC though. ;)
4 seasons of awesomeness with the best F1 car physics to date. ;)
A tire (in American English and Canadian English) or tyre (in some Commonwealth Nations such as UK, and Australia) ...
nice Akira reference, did anyone else catch it ?
the old hockenheim. i miss it
This game is realy good for what it is.The sense of speed is there in a big way.Solid racer from Sega.....SEGA!
Sega must've had a guy who's sole job was to make sure the snare drum sounds awesome in all their games.
Neo Tokyo... nice Akira reference. :)
At least the computer controlled drivers PIT in a racing game for once!
(oh yeah, and bring back the old intros)
this looks fun
a nice Akira reference in the vid lol

really good graphics ;o
i do its called Galbadia Hotel aka ghffshrine try to google it
LOVE THE AKIRA REFERENCE
lol imagine if Jacky from virtua fighter sang game over "yeahhhhhh!"
Awesome review, although i personally like the Japanese version better, it has an commentator.
I think I might stick with Virtua Racing.
You'd be better off!
Looks like the High Speed Ring in the GT series was copied from Neo City - Novice.
sweet! i gotta get me one of them. P:
Review more Sega Dreamcast games please.
just saying has cgr ever rated a gamecube game?
Great review, great game but it can't hold a candle to Formula 1 on the PS1 that was released at the same time
You know, I was going to sing "Game Over Yeah!" but Mark beat me to it :/
This actually has great graphics for the Saturn. Full cd for storage and only 6 tracks? For shame
I do..
Formula 97' is where its at!
This looks more like the Indy 500 engine than the Virtua Racing engine...
maybe Mohammad from qatar has a spare racing wheel for sega saturn :D
the 90's is the best kids today have no idea
0:30 Virtua Racing anyone?
2:25 F1 drift, lol.
Go Michael Schumacher!
90s Sega racing games. You need something coller than that?
tht means f1 challenge is f1 1995
Only Mark has big enough balls to drift an F1 car.
@9esferas1 And WipEout from the same company is the best racer of all time! :D
mid 90s cheese ftw!
GAAAME OOOVEEER... YEAH!
Get the racing wheel!!!
I couldn't play this game long sadly. The way the camera jumps around when going up or down hill is just painful. I will stick to Gran Turismo 1, thank you very much!
Foumula 1 99 is good too
Not a very lively pit crew there. They seemed to be just standing around.
Nintendo:sega sucks
Sega:Thats wat she said
