    Ukraine wishes to halt the transit of Russian gas to Hungary, Slovenia, Moldova, and other European countries. Kyiv is not interested in negotiating a new contract for the transit of Russian gas to Europe. This position was clarified by President Zelensky when he signed a decree in 2022, which prohibits any negotiations with Russia as long as Putin remains in power. Additionally, it is essential to address the issue of functional illiteracy, as it can leave citizens vulnerable to misinformation, which should be subject to sanctions. Propaganda does NOT win a war, but it can temporarily win a conflict with its recipients

    Countries that produce their electricity from renewable sources and have their own grids, had cheaper electricity prices and less chances of blackouts. Reducing energy imports also improves the trade balance (in some cases flipping the balance from negative to positive). They will also have better conditions to support industries, precisely because of energy availability.
    Hungary and Slovakia are going to suffer economically because of their foolish decision to remain dependent on imported gas.
    Oh, and it does not matter if the gas is imported from Russia, Norway or the USA, being dependent on gas for your energy is a stupid decision.

    • @charlesburgoyne-probyn6044

      Use common sense! Germany was trying to transfer to renewable energy, and categorically it was a disaster... I know you know this! Losing access to cheap Russian gas has already caused the closure of four huge VW factories, and along with them other premium German manufacturers, are being forced to exit Germany! Conclusion... In just two years, over 60,000 jobs will have been lost. Germany is in recession. Their automobile industry is being destroyed as Germany begins deindustrialization. I suspect you're aware of the very plausible reports that Gazprom will sell the gas to an Azerbaijani provider, then the EU will buy it from them (At a markup), and then they will tell Zelensky to reopen the pipeline transit route because technically/officially?? they will not be buying directly from Gazprom! The EU bought a record amount of LNG from Russia in 2024. They will break that record again in 2025

    • @BrianOriet

      I’m curious does that mean you will use nuclear energy ? Kazakhstan Is the world biggest uranium exporter . I honestly think Russia will make them an offer to not sell it that way lol so that leaves Canada or Australia which are really far away , also I can’t speak for Australia but here in Canada we will not refine it for you it is very bad for the environment so I’m not sure what country’s have refineries for them the only one I know is China , or you could build your own ? Can any of your country’s run off of hydro electric? Wind ? Solar ? U might get stuck buying expensive American gas for 2/3 if your power and then composite with what ever green source you build up ? I’m honestly curious . I know we can be energy self sufficient but it’s a really good profit to buy American energy when it’s low and sell it back when it’s high . Anyways just figured I’d chew the fat , cheers

    • @GManzi673
      @GManzi673 16 дней назад

      Hungary, Slovakia, and Serbia will have very big economic growth post-war. They have already normalized with Russia and will continue to strengthen ties. Huge infrastructure plans are already in place and underway for logistics, transport connectivity, and increased industrialization. Plans are already being discussed to make Turkey a gas hub for the transit of Russian gas through Turkstream to Central/Eastern Europe. Effectively, they along with Georgia are already being added to the Chinese BRI and will ultimately become a defacto BRICS partner without being a member!
      It is not feasible, nor would it be allowed for sovereign European countries to have any sustainable growth with renewable energy! It would replace the old Ottoman empire as being the 'Sick man of Europe' They will always be dependent on imported energy whether it be LNG, pipeline gas, or uranium to power Nuclear plants! It does matter where you get it from too, and Germany is the case study for this because without the cheap, reliable, and huge gas supply they used to get from Russia, it could never have grown to be the industrial, and economic power that it was! It doesn't receive it now and is rapidly deindustrialzing!

      @@GManzi673,
      @BrianOriet, and
      @charlesburgoyne-probyn6044
      3 very ignorant comments.
      No, nuclear will not replace natural gas, because nuclear is too expensive, and it takes too long to implement.
      The US is not the only source of LNG, there are many other countries selling LNG, many of them much closer to the EU (in Africa) and selling for lower prices, so you will not have any fat to chew on (unless you are talking about chewing your neighbors).

      @GManzi673, you are delusional if you think that russia is going to build any infrastructures in those countries, china might, but then you will be china's slaves and if you are thinking that natural gas will be cheaper than renewables, you are completely delusional, Renewable energy is already much cheaper than gas and keeps getting cheaper every year.
      Face it. You bet on the wrong horse. Even if Ukraine capitulated and unconditionally surrendered tomorrow, russia will not recover from their blunder, their energy market in Europe is completely lost. No one is going to buy their gas, it is too expensive and too much of a security liability.
      Renewables will be 90% to 100% of electricity production in Europe in less than 10 years. Norway is almost at 100% right now Finland close to 90% already, even countries in the south with less money to invest are already at over 70% renewables, Portugal is already at close to 80%.
      Fossil fuels already lost the war for the market dominance.
