    Wow super awesome video! Glad you got to tour another facility. Really cool to see those old Volvo LABOS trucks, sad to see them go though. So glad you caught a lot of trucks coming back in! I have to say my favorite trucks were the Volvo WX-42 Wittke FLs and the older Autocar FLs. Thank you for posting!!

      thelyokofannumber1 Thank you! The WX-42s were neat, especially with the green bumpers. The LNG McNeilus trucks were nice to see since they came from my yard :) My pleasure - glad to see you enjoyed!

    You know what’s awesome is judging by how old the truck is or by the retired ones you know which ones were probably Burgundy and White when they were new trucks

    The Road Commander was easily the coolest truck in the fleet followed by the WX-42 Wittkes. The first couple you caught pulling into the yard hard a great sound, of course engine but especially brakes. Nice and loud. The scrap yard was also great to see, hard to imagine trucks like the square body used to be commonplace. Another great yard tour Aaron!

      georgewuzheer Thank you George! It was awesome seeing/hearing the Road Commander! I just wish I could see it unload its boxes, but its route is all over the valley. The WX-42s brought back so many memories for me! I remember those trucks sounded just like the Volvo Amreps WM used in my area way back in the day. Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed!

    These tour videos keep getting better and better! I loved seeing all the WX Wittkes and that road commander. Woodinville only has like 3 WXs left that I know of. Those 2008 mcneilus fls remind me of my old yard waste truck. And the scrap line had some great stuff in it too. Keep up the great work man!

    You are certainly right on my favorite WM yard in CA. This yard runs mostly Xpeditor's and old Xpeditor's! Always been a huge fan of those Ex WMX WX-42 Wittkes! The LNG Xpeditor McNeilus FL's are pretty boss to, they remind of CDS's. Wow, so cool to still see Ex LABOS trucks in the WM fleet, even tho they are scrap trucks. Really loved that square body as well! I wonder what company had it before? Also, loved the WMX Containers, along with the BBD ones. I wonder if WM Sun Valley still has the Ex Looney Bins Pete 320 Roll-off, and the International? That Pete 310 Wittke was a badass find! To bad shes no longer in service. You are right about the GI Trucks, hell even some live in NM! Hahah. Well, I would have to say my favorite truck here is that old square body, WHITEGMC Xpeditor. Both CDS Sun Valley Hauling and WM Sun Valley Hauling are my favorite yards in LA! Sweet video man! Fav!

      ***** Thanks David! 95% Xpeditor! The LNG McNeilus FLs are from Baldwin Park, so I was excited to get reunited with those after four years apart! The square body was ex-WMX. There was a lot of old WMX stuff found around the truck. The 320 Looney Bins truck parks at Downtown Diversion. I saw the Looney Bins International, but I missed a pic, unfortunately. Next time, hopefully. GI trucks never die! I swear! Glad you enjoyed the video :-)

    Wow, great shots Aaron! To start off, it broke my heart to see those shots at 1:29 & 2:08 & 4:35... even the yard with tho oldest trucks in the city doesnt want an old L.A. Volvo. Sad that scrap line go but they've served a long life I guess, especially for a refuse truck. And... what happened to that truck at 2:15? Fire or just age? That shot at 3:05 on the top of the Pete 310 looks like 'crap', which I wouldn't be surprised if it actually said that. Didn't know WM in LA still owned Pete 310s! Also really nice to hear and see those shots of the older trucks coming into the yard - glad you added them in! Sure wish they had some WXLL's at this yard for a cool addition! Thanks for sharing the pics again!

      SoCalGarbageTrucks Thank you Eli! The LABOS Amreps were actually sitting in the back of the yard for over 5 year now. They were not able to scrap them since they couldn't find the paperwork and rightful owners (WM did not own those trucks) until December, so now they are sitting with the rest of the scrap. 2:15 was just age - that square body has been out of service for close to 10 years now. They just found the paperwork for that truck too. Compton Hauling had a lot of 310s when I toured their facility a couple years back, not sure if you've seen that one yet :-) It would certainly be nice if this yard inherited a WXLL one of these days! Glad you enjoyed and thanks for the comment!

    What the hell do they do to those poor things?! Looks like they all caught on fire or something but shit I thought Compton had the oldest trucks. Is that 310 ex Western Waste? I saw some orange on the grille. Ah now I know where you got the pic you sent me yesteday... 358 sounds like a number that belonged to refurbished Volvo, weird to see it with the original body and everything. So where those their only ASLs? What happened to the routes? Also the truck Mike filmed, that was from Sun Valley correct? Also did your brother go? Awesome too see the green bumpers I love those. Hopefully you or Kevin gets video of a truck one day. Surprising to see the Macks in the scrap line. What's more surprising is to see the Volvo WG being used more than the Macks. Wish they still had some WXLL as regular trucks at Sun Valley. Also is there any ex WMLA in this yard? Nonetheless, awesome stuff Aaron!

    • @WMmaster626
      @WMmaster626  9 лет назад

      South Bay Refuse Hahaha lots of these trucks have been sitting in the scrap line for over two years, so they've naturally deteriorated over time. Not sure on the 310 to be honest, I didn't even know they had 310 Wittkes. I'm not sure if WM even owns the LABOS Amreps. From what I hear, they had other ASLs actually. Their residential contract(s) were lost over time. The only one I know of was San Fernando. A few years back, they were storing Santa Clarita units since I guess Santa Clarita was overflowing. The ex-LABOS truck Mike filmed was out of Palmdale. My brother was there, he took most of the pictures and I took the videos. Don't think there are any ex-WMLA trucks, but there was a couple ex-Compton trucks. Thanks a ton for the comment Eric, always appreciate people leaving long comments like you did!

    Wow! Lucky you! Awesome video Aaron! Looks like you had fun! ;) Man aren't we lucky? Having all that awesome stuff! Lol at 0:15 you can kinda see my second home in the background! Those LABOS Amreps brought back so many memories and I remember when we had them on all 3 streams. I am very happy that there are 2 left in my area but not for long. :( WhiteGMC's huh? Did 358 have a railarm? It looked like it did, and I wonder if those came from east valley. Wow I didn't even know we still had a square body! That truck is so beautiful! Looks pretty beat up though :( sad to see all these leave. So cool how we still have quite a few things left from the WMX days! At 6:31 that LABOS truck was great, did you get the #? Those Wittke starlights are so nice but not new to me since I always see them, their airbrakes sound like your old Volvo's. Nice shot at 12:26 of the 2 former WMX units coming in one behind another! I can already picture them in the WMX burgundy. In fact I can picture the entire yard filled with burgundy trucks! Nice catch of that Volvo container truck at 15:00! How many commanders do they have? Sad to see all those trucks just waiting to be scrapped. Especially the 310 with scrap written all over it, what body did that 310 have? Did you see any trucks with green tailgates? Those trucks driving in were cool too! Gotta say this is probably your best video! I loved every second! Great video Aaron! Thanks for sharing :)

      Kev Barajas Thank you Kev!! Got super lucky on this tour! Everything I wanted to see and more! Haha I noticed that when I was looking through the pictures - there's LABOS! Pretty sure 358 still had a rail arm, yes. Wouldn't surprise me if LABOS just dumped those trucks at Bradley Landfill way back when lol I think the Amrep at 6:31 was 192. The Volvos were pretty awesome to see! I didn't see any full green Volvos except in the scrap yard. I think the yard has two Road Commanders right now. The one hauling a trailer is used regularly! 310 was a Wittke. So glad to see that you enjoyed! Let me know when you want to tour and I'll try to set something up!

    Great job! They sure have a lot of trucks waiting to get scrapped. Cool to see the SSI Santa Clarita bin in its natural area, and not in Fresno with a sticker covering the logo. How many operable trucks do they have in total?

    • @WMmaster626
      @WMmaster626  9 лет назад

      +zp12684 Thank you! Yeah they do - fun part about this yard lol I think they have between 50-70 operating trucks, including FLs, Roll Offs, container trucks, and stingers.

      Thanks! Yeah this was right before they started getting rid of some of the old WMX trucks but luckily they still have four running right now. Yup those are old LA Volvos. One of the Wittkes Sun Valley runs has an old LA City door on it haha. They're getting a new route manager from AV soon, I think his name is AJ. Thanks bro!

    That square body FL is an old Maxon and it doesn't have a pusher axle on it...its just a tire sitting there

    • @WMmaster626
      @WMmaster626  9 лет назад

      Refuse Truck Photography Thanks for correcting me, Zach. The reason I said it was a pusher axle was because I saw pictures of a square body with a pusher axle on it, so I thought this might have been of their old square bodies that had that set up. Again, appreciate the comment & correction.

      Is there a significant different between Able Body and Maxon?

    • @ZGeroux
      @ZGeroux 8 лет назад

      WMmaster626 In terms of what? Telling the difference or operation?

    • @WMmaster626
      @WMmaster626  8 лет назад

      Refuse Truck Photography Telling the difference. The square body is listed as an Able Body on the maintenance logs, so was just curious if there's a way to tell the difference.

    • @ZGeroux
      @ZGeroux 8 лет назад

      WMmaster626 Those mx logs aren't always trustworthy...especially if the truck has changed hands multiple times. with that being said, it could be an Able Body Sales truck...Rich did put that angled piece with three dimples at the front corner of the body...but many times you cant tell
