  • It was sadly time to say goodbye to the beautiful Balearics and start making our way West. In this episode we leave Formentera and sail/motor along the Costa Blanca and Costa Del Sol to Gibraltar, encountering giant rocks, some serious fog and more tankers than you can poke a stick at!!

You got balls flying your drone near the airport. Great video guys. best from HKG

It was a slightly nervous flight but I took care not to fly over the airport! Interesting though they did set off periodic mortar rounds to scare the birds away over the airport.

Hi guys, another one enjoyed, out of interest i notice that many of the sailing guys inc you guys use one motor more than the other at one time when motoring, is it better on fuel or just better for engines to rotate use ?

Cheers Jetasin! Yep, we usually just use one motor at a time (unless we are mooring in a marina or anchoring when you need both engines for control) as it's more fuel efficient. Using both engines at once only gives us another knot or so more speed and uses double the fuel. We do rotate ours - the engine hours on both are almost identical - and its good to be able to swap them over every few hours if you are having to motor for a long time.
