    Great review and great channel. Been looking at your reviews to see if I can find my ideal bag. I am looking for an all day carry bag. In the morning, the bag would carry basic gear for like go pro, battery pack, and a note book. As I travel through the day, I want to be able to comfortably add souvenirs and gifts from my shopping. I do not want a carry a large 40L+ bag. Large bags makes it hard to travel in very crowded buses and trains. Do you have any recommendations on 20L bags that can expand to 30L with decent compartments for organization?

    I'm looking for something like this (small, very water resistant, quality) but not sure if comfortable enough?, other options for me are AER tech pack 3 or travel pack 3 small, but they seem so heavy (more than 1.5 kg) so not sure what would be best. I would use this mostly for everyday but also travel (not one bag, or mostly not)

    • @Nomads.Nation
      @Nomads.Nation  2 месяца назад

      there's no 'best' it really just comes down to your preferences and what's most important to you (and what you are willing to give up). Aer Tech Pack 3 has a ton of padding which makes it feel more comfortable to me, but some people find it TOO padded and therefore sort of oppressive (plus it is heavy). Bellroy could be a good middle ground for you - their bags are lighter and have more padding. Same with the new Mous Daypack we just reviewed.

    • @cocompi
      @cocompi 2 месяца назад

      @@Nomads.Nation thank you, I am binge watching a lot of your reviews now. My need would be personal item size, maximum of 45x35x20cm. Decent or great padding, weather resistant, hopefully not too heavy, and with luggage strap as I will use a carry on roller many times. That’s more streamlined now that I watched more videos!

    Alternative 4 - Osprey Daylite / Daylite Plus
    Has a light build, good quality, decent price and a very airy and comfortable harness system. Back panel has a foam pad that protects you laptop and your back from pokeys and gives a nice, but not too heavy, bit of structure.

    I have a discontinued Tortuga Setout Divide which has proven to be a reliable and comfortable travel pack, but those zippers... They really need to ditch that matte plastic.
    I love me a nice matte material, but these crumble and fall out over time. Half of the zippers on my pack are intact, half are the metal pieces that ordinarily would have been covered by said plastic.
