Although I don’t live in London anymore, I love your videos and the interesting information you share. You’ve also given me a lot more confidence to cycle where I live with your friendly encouragement to make use of cycling facilities. I’m really enjoying using my bike to get about. Thank you so much!
Thanks very much for watching! Barnet could definitely do with a lot of improvement… I wonder if the change of political control last month will have any effect or not. Labour tends to be a bit better, but no guarantee especially in outer London
@@Londoncycleroutes Now that Labour are in charge, I've been thinking of writing and asking about their plans for cycle lanes. I hope we'll get somewhere...
Hello. First time on your videos, really good idea. I am pondering on a ride to London. I am ok as far as Tower of London from the east but got no clear route from The Tower out to Gospel Oak. Now to watch more of your films. Thanks.
You’re in luck, this is a really easy ride! Basically you follow Cycleway 3 west from Tower Hill down lower thames street etc until Blackfriars. Then at Blackfriars you go north up Cycleway 6 - these are both all segregated lanes. C6 will take you up royal college street, then you go castle road and castlehaven road to grafton road (which is an LTN) and you’ll end up in gospel oak. I should do some routes to Gospel Oak, nice idea!
great video, I live in newcastle and it's really interesting seeing the differences in the scale of infrastructure implemented between the two cities, keep it up!
Thanks v much! I was looking at some of the infra in Newcastle the other day as it happens, some looked quite good! Though I’ve not got to cycle it myself yet. That’s interesting about it being less widespread though… it can often feel like London is standing still even though there’s been loss of progress in recent years
Just been recommended this by youtube, what a great find. Moving to london soon and trying to figure out if there's a manageable route from canary wharf to bromley
Very useful video and a nice route, I do part of this on my way in to work. I like to watch the progress being made on the new developments around Elephant Park/New Kent Rd- lots of nice planting and shops/cafes opening. There is a Fix Your Cycle shop that recently opened on the street directly ahead of Falmouth Rd at 3:31. Would also recommend the Rocketvan Coffee Shop & Bar on Brandon St (at 4:40)- they have live music Fridays, happy hour before 7pm, and a yard sale every month I believe.
Amazing the different journeys you can string together through a patchwork of old quietway routes and LTN. Set yourself a challenge for longest (useful) cycle journey you can do exclusively through LTNs?
I would like to know and be able to see through your videos the best cycle route and with little or no car traffic because I am very afraid of it, from Morden Station to PRDC Royal Mail Hub in Park Royal and also from Wimbledon Chase to PRDC hub. Thank you for your videos, they are very interesting and encourage taking the bicycle and riding around London. Take care.
Agree regarding the NHS' involvement in schemes like this. We should be looking more at prevention of disease and encouraging / enabling healthy lifestyles, leads to better outcomes and is less costly than medical interventions for e.g. obesity, breathing difficulties etc.
would love to suggest a route if that ok well a couple of routes if possible. Chiswick high street to Stratford Westfield King Street(Hammersmith) to Greenwich Would love to see the route you take.
Don't know what day or time you filmed this, but Crosby Row on weekdays is packed with parked cars on both sides - including lots of 'disabled' vehicles parked on the yellow lines by users of Guys Hospital. You're very likely to meet an ambulance trying to squeeze between them in the opposite direction. And I was horrified how you shot so quickly across the Harper Road junction of Falmouth Road - Harper Road is a busy cross-town link for motorists and cabdrivers.
I would always take care crossing that Harper Rd junction too at 3:05 ! I once got rear-ended by a speeding moped trying to overtake while I was turning right onto Falmouth Rd. (The moped came off worse though as they proceeded to veer into a lamp post...)
Interesting, I’ve always found it pretty quiet but maybe I’m going at different times - re: that junction with Falmouth Road don’t forget I can turn my head and see more stuff than the camera so I could see it was clear. But you’re right it would have been good to point out that people should check there!
I'm afraid the map isn't accurate - it shows your route going Swan Street >(right on) Trinity Street>Trinity Church Square> Brockham Street>Harper Road>Falmouth Road. But your video went Swan Street>(left on) Trinity Street>Falmouth Road.
It was extremely pleasant. Loved the girl falling off her skateboard.
Yes lovely to see a bit of life on the streets!
Great video, as ever, and really interesting on the NHS involvement in that LTN.
Thank you! and yeah it’s an interesting one isn’t it - wonder if there’s scope for more partnerships like that
Moving to London soon and super amped to ride as many of your routes as possible! Thanks for the great content, please don't stop!
Very pleased to hear this, hope you have fun!

i am here once again to raise the hype for a london cycle routes video
LETS GOOOOO!! CYCLE AROUND LONDON MY FRIEND!!
thank you!! as always, your hype is appreciated
Fantastic little channel, I don't cycle often in London but when I newt go I'll fill my computer with your routes.
Thanks for tuning and the nice feedback!
So, this is what it's like when your borough actually cares about cycling. You wouldn't get this up in Barnet!
What a cool channel you have!

Nice weather for a ride!

Very enjoyable.

Thanks for watching! I’ll give it a go - Bromley is tricky and I don’t know it too well but there might be a way to do it
Thank you so much for all of your videos and great content - I'm such great a fan! Is there any chance you might be able to do Fulham to Holborn?
I can give it a go! Thanks v much for watching!

@@Londoncycleroutes Thanks for keeping these cycle routes coming.

Yes it’s interesting how much is going up around elephant- and thanks for the good tips!
Another fine video Jon.
The street, where you ended the video, seemed so anachronistic, but has old London charm.
🙏thanks for watching as always!
@@Londoncycleroutes The pleasure is all mine.
I only really watch this channel for the infra showcase! I wonder if you could do a video from liverpool street to old street (moorfields)
Yeah I’m up for that! Will give it a go!
Great video can you do cycle way 4 from tower bridge to deptford not sure if construction is finished yet.
Yes I definitely want to do it! but they’ve not finished it yet - will be doing some videos showing off the completed parts soon though
Yes I'd love to see that. I is one route that I most certainly intend to do when I get back to the UK.
Amazing the different journeys you can string together through a patchwork of old quietway routes and LTN. Set yourself a challenge for longest (useful) cycle journey you can do exclusively through LTNs?
Yes that’s a good idea! I reckon it would be somewhere through Waltham Forest Hackney and Islington…

That’s a really tricky one, lots of west London which is the hardest- but I’ll see what I can do!
@@Londoncycleroutes thanks
Thank you, another interesting route. What time/ day did you film?
I believe this one was a weekend late morning, so quite a quiet time as far as they go! shouldn't get much busier though
Agree regarding the NHS' involvement in schemes like this. We should be looking more at prevention of disease and encouraging / enabling healthy lifestyles, leads to better outcomes and is less costly than medical interventions for e.g. obesity, breathing difficulties etc.
Yeah it’s great to see them taking a preventative approach like that- probably quite cost effective in the long term
would love to suggest a route if that ok well a couple of routes if possible.
Chiswick high street to Stratford Westfield
King Street(Hammersmith) to Greenwich
Would love to see the route you take.
These would be great - will see what I can do… unfortunately they probably involve Kensington high street which is a big gap!
Hi enjoy your videos how about route c10 round rotherhithe not sure where it stops and starts thank you
Good idea - I’ve not actually ridden all of that before, I have to check it out and see how it links up! (I saw you said c14 not c10)

The video is sped up slightly if you look at how the people are walking
@@eleventybillion2301 - yes, I realised that - still looked fast to me - something I wouldn't care to do in the rush hour!

How weird, I think Komoot decided to mess with the lines but that’s fixed now, thanks for pointing it out
Sorry c14 route not 10
Got it

So impressed with the videos, keep them coming!
