I really hope they aren't avoiding his footwork and working his feet because he needs to pick up that speed on the feet for crucial moments in the chavez jr fight when he will be getting smothered by jr's weight, I think his footwork and foot speed will be the key comfortably winning the fight

Canelo is an effective counter puncher, Chavez isn't. I suspect JCC jr will be getting countered while Canelo sits on the ropes. I am sure Canelo and his trainer/s know Chavez' game plan will be to walk down and put pressure on the smaller man, but it's whether JCC jr can withstand Canelo's power or not. I don't see JCC jr changing his way of fighting much; as soon as he gets frustrated he will start fighting the way he always does.
