An AT is something that happens in the main universe for example
Last breath: you find gaster and free him then he tells sans about all the genocide timeline you done and it made him finally go all out
Dust tale: Sans somehow remembers every genocide probably via a glitch so he decides to gain LOV to kill you once and for all
Glitchtale: Ok u know this normal undertale but u reset at the wrong time causing game to glitch out
Now Au in the other hand changes the entire story or cast
For example: Story shift where chara takes the role of sans,mtt takes the role
of chara and asriel takes the role of papyrus
Underswap where all roles are switched for example alphys used to be the scientist and now is the warrior undyne’s the opposite
Underfell: Why is everyone so mean i dont understand XD
The final Conclusion
At (alternate timelines) are meant to be related to the main story but something happens that causes it to shift from the main story to a differnt timeline version of undertale
Au: completely changes people’s personalities or changing there roles

I think Underfell is just, what if everything is as scary as they made it seem in the game before you got out the ruins.
Yin Games underfell is just kinda every monster for itself and kill or be killed.
The Underfell au is really fricken edgy. But a more reasonable explanation for what the Underfell au is, is that everyone beside flowey takes on the mentality of “Killed or be Killed” while flowey is much more peaceful in that Au.

Toby has stated himself that the gender of frisk and chara is completely up to the player, and “they” is used in game to suit the fluidity of who the player could be/ who they WANT to be. If someone thinks frisk is a she, then respect that. You don’t have to use the same pronouns for frisk if you’re responding to the comment, because the way that you see frisk is completely up to you. @@weesalikesmilktea4829 Basically Sans goes insane with all of the resets so he starts killing everyone to get XP so he can kill frisk/Chara to stop the resets, Which he fails to do in this version (But in other versions he succeeds). Due to his insanity and guilt of killing papyrus, He gains a imaginary ghost version of papyrus that urges him on to kill
