  • A young family aimed to transform their new home in New Canaan, Connecticut, into a haven for children. Surrounded by picturesque New England scenery, this five-bedroom, white clapboard house sits just a short walk from a horse farm, offering a charming, bucolic retreat.
The owner desired to capture the essence of pastoral farmland within the home. The designer achieved this by incorporating chintzy floral patterns, stripes, airy linens, pale blues, and chocolate browns. These elements were prominently featured throughout the home, including the dining room, primary bedroom, and several powder rooms, creating spaces where florals, soft earthy tones, and inviting textures dominate.
While most rooms highlight the designer's adept use of colors, patterns, and motifs, a few spaces break away from the home's nature-inspired theme. The nursery, adorned with creamy striped wallpaper and vibrant primary colors, exudes playful charm, while the playroom is designed with youthful whimsy in mind.
