Anyone else surprised that you can give a gorilla an ultrasound? 🤔
No. Not at all. Why should this be a surprise?
Why would that be surprising??
Regarding rejection...so many times I hear that there’s probably something wrong with the baby. The baby is removed, hand reared, goes on to live for 50 years with normal or genius level abilitie and has 20 offspring. Maybe there is something wrong with the mom? If she’s feeling depressed, having postpartum, a nutritional deficiency, etc., and is otherwise not up to taking care of the baby.
No. You can do it to most mammals. Why would it be a surprise?
No I was more suprised about the mum gorrila giving birthe by itself that was amazing
When she first delivered and it looked like she kissed her baby, that melted my heart 😍
I think she was sucking the afterbirth out of her lungs but beautiful none the less....😩💜
@@suchafknladyyy5780 probably 😊
Aww same it was so cute
It was disgusting
She was helping the baby but also showing love. Most mammals love their babies.
Why are people shocked that she delivered the baby on her own? What would she do in the wild 🙄 beautiful to give life 😁
I think they forget that animals births are usually way easier than humans
@@thetillerwiller4696 I feel like a lot of human births could also have been easier without a bunch of stressed out people staring at your vagina in a very crammed, very unwelcoming hospital room stressing tf outta you most probably asking you to lay down in the traditional yet physiologically worst way possible to give birth
@@lay_1306 Even at the gorilla birth they can't stfu for a moment. 😁
I don’t think they were shocked, I think they were just in awe. How many people can say they witnessed a Gorilla giving birth in person. That’s a beautiful moment, and a privilege. I don’t think that would be possible in the wild, to be able to have both man and ape in the same space, during such a special moment.
Why do you question their shock?
Wow the way the mother supported her baby's head exactly humans mothers do is amazing to see
Um because we are both primates and have large heavy heads that need support.
God is great!
@@Orchyde But the gorilla doesn't know that. She acts on instinct, possibly from watching other gorillas with babies if she's been in a family group.
@@annehaight9963 God created animals is what they're tryna say
God made this wonder!
Mama kisses the baby on the lips...how sweet!!
She is simply cleaning the gunk off.
We have evolved to use suction tools to clean the airways. This works, too, I see, lol.
@@bartwilson2513 Only Americans use unnecessary suction tools on newborns. Newborn (human) babies are quite capable of clearing their own airways by crying / coughing / sneezing. The tools are there for a reason - to assist when a baby is in danger, but for some unknown reason US doctors / nurses deem it necessary to shove a tool up their nose & in their mouth before they’ve barely made their first breath.
Intervention when any baby is born isn’t necessary, unless showing signs of weakness / illness which means they’re incapable of clearing their own airways or waiting for mum to clear it for them.
She is just cleaning the baby off of the slime
0pen
It was so sweet to see the mother giving birth picking the baby up supporting the head and kissing the baby and looking at the baby with such love ❤️
she was not kissing the baby she was licking the baby to dry ,They do not kiss babies like we do
@@24bidy actually primates do kiss. We are primates.
@@Orchyde I was talking abut gorilla not abut humans
@@24bidy Humans , gorillas, chimps, apes, monkeys, and prosimians, etc are ALL primates. Primates kiss as signs of affection and closeness. My previous post I think was deleted oh well.
@@24bidy that was similar
The animals are behaving BETTER than people these days
do you mean better than people giving birth ? because it is biologically harder for females to birth because we have disproportionately sized pelvises and babies have abnormally large heads
@@notavailable1174 he didn't mean that he meant that people these days are stupid and can't do anything for the earth and stuff like that and also because of corona these people are probably the REASONS why our earth will never go back to being normal, that's why animals are better than us they actually care for the world but because of us we took the animal's forest lands to build more houses bc all they want is MONEY and animals are actually going extinct bc of us.
You mean “Other animals are behaving better than humans” we are animals too u know
They always have lmao
Tell the children who's mother drove them in to water, drowned them in bath tubs
Never thought a gorilla giving birth could be so beautiful and heartwarming 💕
Her arms were long enough to deliver the baby
How beautiful
So are a human's, depending of coz on positioning
it was pretty wild how she just reached down and pulled her baby out when she knew she could.
@@melanatedqueen yeah I remember seeing kourtney kardashian pull out her own baby haha
@@jessH090 lol I also thought of Kourtney when I saw that gorilla give birth.
Well Kourtney did it when she gave birth to her kids so it is possible for humans to do it to!!!
Humans: “You need any help there?”
Gorilla mom: “Nah, I’m good.”
🤣🤣
Right 🤣🤣🤣
sus 😀👍
I adore the gentleness she showed her baby!! 🥰
The birth scene was absolutely beautiful😇
Omg😭😭😭 the way she was kissing and loving her newborn-so precious !
Stronger than me! I was cursing and screaming at anyone who came near me lol😁
Mothers of different animals are very brave and great 💪🏻👍. The moment she gave birth to a baby was so touched 🥺🥰
For the people complaining about zoos: animals usually find a comfortable home in their habitats without any worries of predators or having to hunt for food. It's safer for them, and I doubt they ever think of living in the wild because that's what they're used to. Zoos provide sanctuaries for endangered species (as we see here :) ). They aren't abused or anything and most zoos of the modern times are quite careful to keep these animals happy. Above that, they donate to rescue the dying-out species so please be grateful for what they do. Without zoos, I don't like to think what the actual wild will look like in a decade or so.
It's still captivity.
@@dls64 Don't get me wrong, I love animals. The zoos that give them a small habitat with no privacy are cruel and should be shut down. This zoo, for example, could use some expanding for a creature as large as a gorilla, but I'm just saying most zoos (and future zoos hopefully) are adapting to give them a better, more natural life. It's up to future generations to run these zoos, and support these precious animals. :)
Safety from their natural predators is not necessary. It's called the circle of life. The only predator that is a problem is humans. The issues these animals have in their natural habitat is caused BY US!
that gorilla was a better mom in 5 seconds than my mom was my entire childhood lmao
R.I.P. for your gratefulness
Watching her deliver her baby was amazing 🥰
Why do human beings think that their assistance is required for animals to give birth? Come on, they can do it on their own!
I don’t know and wondered that as well..
because last time Sheila bled out a lot and they don't normally assist with the birth they just watch and encourage her. They don't act like midwives :))
Because many die in the process. If they are in captivity at the very least they deserve the benefits of medicine.
Because sometimes as with humans they can’t. Having run a farm I can say it would be wonderful if there were no breech presentations or stillborns. Only humans think they know everything lol
I hate watching dog birth videos and the humans all in the mix ... my dog had puppies 3 days ago she needed no assistance and made little to no mess in the process ..
The mother was actually clearing the fluids out of the baby’s airways. They do love their babies though. ❤️
She's so loving to that baby, it brings tears to my eyes!
How have I lived this long and have only seen this now??! I was so moved by the birth and her instinctual affection for her baby; I cried out "my baby!!" in tears!!🥰❤🥰❤
She is really smart and will be a good mom!
There is nothing more beautiful or painful to give life to another whether it be human or animal ❤️
Well done to the zoo team...such patient and brilliant ideas in helping the animals..
Omg the sweet kiss she gave her baby this is so beautiful to watch 🥹💜🙌
I Love it, The birth scene was absolutely beautiful.
Wow, she just brought that baby out like a boss. 👊🦍
Was interesting .. but you let us unknown how Sheila did with her ultrasound and birth!
I LOVE THIS! This is everything to me! God is awesome and ppl like this are a blessing from God❤️❤️❤️
god aint real sorry
Evolution is great!
Amen! and God is real, so is evolution. they two arent mutually exclusive, open your mind.
@@IDontKnow-pf6en if evolution is true then creation can't be.
Would really be nice for you to share how Sheila is progressing with her pregnancy and to see the birth🙂

The little kiss was everything
How sweet! She kisses her baby right away!❤
Not gonna lie, that was pretty badass that she delivered her own baby. 🦍
Wow! I've never seen this before, exactly like humans! Amazing!
Sir, we ALL hate the ultrasound gel! Lol. This is so beautiful. What a gorgeous mom. 😍
I didn’t know gorillas are sensitive about their looks.
🇨🇦 absolutely beautiful! Thank you for this wonderful video! I pray that the dilivery of sheilas baby goes well! 🙏❤️
Preciousness the way mama caresses the new born
Absolutely beautiful and precious. I love how she gave the baby a kiss..God Bless you Sheila and your sweet baby. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Wow she is a real mother sooo cute 🥰
Omg this is so BEAUTIFUL 😍🥺I literally almost cried …I love this 😍😍😍I dint kno this is how they have the babies 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️literally learn something new everyday 💯👏🏾
Oh my gosh. I Love how she Loves her baby.
Can’t wait for the day when zoos are a thing of the past.
Fortunately -- or unfortunately as it might be considered -- zoos do play an important role in raising public awareness of wild animals so conservation groups can get funding to continue their work. Also, zoos have an important role in breeding programs to bring species back from the brink of extinction. Without zoos, a great many species would be extinct because of loss of habitat, a lack of understanding what each species needs to thrive, and for animals like the Tasmanian Devil, the path to extinction because of disease. Zoos will never be a thing of the past, but in the last century, great strides have been made in creating appropriate environments for the animals to live in instead of a small cage with a concrete floor.
Some zoos have animals ready to be released back in their native land. However, the situations in most areas haven't changed. There's the illegal pet trade, the bush meat trade, deforestation, war, etc. Those issues need to be fixed first!
Hopefully soon!
I hope that day never comes!
Well sadly without zoos a lot of our breeding efforts to preserve certain species from extinctions will also go away.
I would have liked to have seen what happened next in with Sheila's pregnancy! Would have been nice to witness the real ultrasound being performed and also to know if her baby turned out to be one she chose to nurture and care for! Did it live?
Idk why but her birth got me emotional🥺🥰❤❤
Wait you like queen???
QUEEN!!
Very nice of caretakers
I have NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE!! HOW AMAZING!
Amazing! She's so Intelligent!
Times like this I find YT Invaluable, this is an amazing video.
I love seeing mama animals with their babies.. it warms my heart.. ❤️ 💙 💜
Tears come from my eyes
Mommy baby love
Mommy is the best 💝💝
They are much more intelligent than us!
And she won't put a mask on the face of the baby!
Incredible creatures!
WOW I WISH WE WOMEN COULD GIVE BIRTH LIKE THAT
But we can
Women have done it for decades. Just suck it up and let nature take it's coarse.
That's is so amazing and adorable😍
AWW, A LITTLE BABY GORILLA. I LOVE WHEN THE MOMMA WAS TALKING TO HER BABY. THEN I SEEN HER, GIVE HER BABY A SWEET KISS. NATURE IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND THE BEST EVER...!!!! ♥️🤗🥰 HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE ONE...🎂🎈🎁🎉
That is absolutely miraculous to watch! 💙🌻
why is it that anybody could talk to me about anything in French and I'll just sit there with my head cupped in my hands totally in love
😍😘
The subtitles are hard to read but dang he is gorgeous
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha me too!😍
How do they do the umbilical cord.
@ Nikki Jayne Perhaps, a gorilla just leaves the baby attached by cord until it decays naturally ? Or maybe, after the placenta is delivered, the mother chews it off ? (I haven't looked this up -- just trying to guess how it happens.)
Holy shit newborn gorillas have massive hands
Aww. Sweet Mama. ❤❤
This why I have a deep respect for Primates
What a beautiful facility that is 😍👍
That was so neat to watch ♥️
Why is the heading 'Pregnant gorilla gives birth' ... Can an unpregnant gorilla give birth?
She got a sign of approval.....🙄
He said she did really well .... 🤣🤘
😱 so cute, she gives kisses right after baby was born,.. amazing. Great mother.
Primates are so smart. Nature gives birth to so many Mysteries and delights.
Well humans are primates also.
Life is a beautiful thing
Where was her birth? Will this be posted at a later date? I Enjoyed gaining an insight into the training process for the ultrasound.
The way she kissed it after it came out😍😍🥺🥺
Congratulations, you clever mummy - well done.
I never knew they give birth to one child only. So touching. I loved it
I wish there was a safe way for the keepers and the animal to be able to interact without being behind those bars.
That's a bad idea. For the animals and especially the people. You know how many attacks their are in zoos and how many people died swimming with whales in sea world?
@@TrueEnergizerBunnies that’s exactly why I mentioned:”I WISH there was a safe way...” 🙂
@@lilios4468 Get real, there is no safe way. The meaning of wild animals is just that WILD.

Such a beautiful moment, precious baby xx
Wow this is AMAZING
Unlike when we were young, these videos are available on the web . By watching these videos children can learn all about Nature and Animals
and this will influence them to
stop harrassment and killing of animals.
Pretty soon the only living gorillas will be in zoos or sanctuaries! I really appreciate everything these men and women do to for these beautiful creatures that share our DNA!
Amazing. God is good!!
Cute animals, cute caretaker who speaks French!
Omg them kisses bought tears to my eyes
Dear monkey mother, she is so sweet and smart❤😘
So sweet I love her
Where the other part of this video
Nice :)
Very similar to humans in so many ways ....God is amazing 👏🏾
Why wouldn't the zoo step in and care for the gorilla that she rejected. In the US, our zoos wouldn't allow the death of a critical animal to occur. Gorillas are highly intelligent.
There is a baby in England I think. His name is Hasani. His mom rejected him and the foster mom recently abused him. I cried and cried watching the video. I hope the zoo steps in to take the little one. His eyes have this faraway look and he doesn’t seem to be thriving. The good news is that the real mom did come to the babies aid and that might be something. But I really hope the zoo steps in! He is just too precious to lose!
Animals are so precious.
Wish I could read all the writing. Some is written with light behind it and can't see it. Darn!
Human mom: Bring the towels, bring the hot water, call the doc
Gorilla mom: Nope
😂😂😂Am done
American Indian women used to walk away from the tribe and give birth by themselves, then they'd walk back to camp holding their new baby.
Also, nurses use demotivating abusive words to mothers in labor, reducing that woman's trust in her own body capabilities
The lovely moments....
After the birth mommy is like whew what a relief!!
She delivered her baby because of the mother’s natural instincts.
Just to give you all a heads up, the gorilla does not give birth in this video. They briefly show a clip from a totally different video and channel of another gorilla who gave birth. Well, so I guess the title is correct, a gorilla did give birth, but not theirs. F it, I am not deleting all of this. Ok, have a nice day :)
She said " iight let's do this".. 🥰💞🥰💞
Shiela knows french bravo
3:13 Fascinating. I had no idea they were so concerned with their appearance.
Is that it? Is there a part 2?
IKR? I was wondering if there’s a PART 2 🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
jeez, im french, so switching between antoine's talking in french and the narrator's in english is quite hard XDD
Why did I cried.....she was so gentle and gave her newborn a kiss after.
