Oh my goodness this is AMAZING! Your video thumbnail stood out to me so much! I really love your techniques and style - I think it's so clever how you got a 'pixel' effect! I used to paint portraits in oil all the time but got out of doing it, but after watching your video I really want to get back into it! Especially working on a big scale like you! Wow. I love those big brushstrokes with contrasting colors and even when you put cold and warm colors together.
Really fascinating to watch you time lapse evolution...
Would die to have such painting at home, but it is still even more interesting to watch how your faces get out from your gestures.

Have you ever try to do the hair with the same brush technique as the face?
Unfortunately, I know very little about painting, but I can say: That looks beautiful! How these monochromatic small areas merge into a single color ... Years ago I read something about "cubism"; is this the technique used here? It is fabulous ...

I practiced realism my entire life but four years ago decided to start branching out and experimenting.. to try and find a unique style I can call my own. And this is it. “Deconstructed or Fragmented Realism is what I like to call it ☺️”. Have a lovely weekend!

How do you make the color thin enough to make it run down the canvas? :)
I dilute it heavily with odorless turpentine :)

im an artists who draws/paints only faces,large faces. I was told by my psychologist that when you do so you don't understand yourself, or are searching for your self. Do you Agree?
Hello Johaun, I think that's very interesting but I feel like everyone is searching or trying to understand themselves to a degree. My obsession with faces started when I was a little girl and back then all I cared about was mastering the art of replication. I paint faces still because it's the only genre that interests me. There are many things below the surface that I have to deal with and I only paint when I'm happy. So honestly I have no idea. Maybe he/she is right.. I don't know but I like to contemplation of the idea
