Your thoughts on America are appreciated and echoed throughout this great country.
Amen
As an Irishman looking at America from a distance.....Brian, ya nailed it!!!!! Spread your ideaology amd the whole world will be a better place....
God Bless America and God Bless the Sonne Farmers.
Feel better soon Cole!
Be careful with the knee fella. It's always good to get a second opinion. (About the alfalfa cutting).
Thanks, Brian, for stopping the baling and explaining about the netting. I know you were against the clock, but you thought of us non-farming folk, too. Cole, hope by now you're back to wrangling.
Sounds like your knee is doing well, don’t overdo it. Stay safe.
I like your dad explaining how to do so I can learn. Thanks.
Brian's comments on the country is much appreciated, I like to think that somewhere down the chain my family is enjoying product from this farm.
Hope you don't have knee problems when you get married. Great video Brian's so called rambling you could hear it in his voice the way he feels and there are a lot in this country that feel the same way. And you Cole talking about Memorial Day and the cemetery with all the flowers. You guys talking about all of us, well you guys deserve a lot of credit for all you farmers do. Thank You. Tell Brian the steering wheel ride with the camera was cool. Great video don't over do take care see you next time
I bought 3 slappies and I had to keep one nice so I mounted it on the wall.
Oh, I forgot. I was in the Home Depot today in Lake Worth, TX with my Sonne Farms t-shirt on and a couple walked up and said nice shirt, and we watch the channel all the time. So, you have a lot of fans in Texas.
thank you for that
Asd a Veteran - a Navy Corpsman - I want to thank you for remembering Our nations veterans in your video's. You and your family are terrific. My favorite Farm Show.
Always bugs me when people decide to disregard the hard work men and women do to protect their countries
Driving down the hwy past a guy haying on a hot sunny day and the smell of the hay is the best
So happy to see you back in the tractor Cole! Thank you for your support of our Vets( Army Brat here). Your lines were straighter than Uncle Jeffies 😂😂😂
Brian, thank you for your encouraging words about our Country. Thank you for putting food on my table. 👏👏😘💙💙💙
Thanks Cole and Brian , I never miss watching your videos .
"First, I'm going to run over to Jeff's." You're a funny guy.
Hope you have a quick easy recovery. And praying God gives Farm Dad the energy he needs to keep up without your help.
Love your “rambling” Brian.
So glad to see you getting around Cole. And Brian, absolutely agree with you about loving our country and getting people back to work. Always good to see Jefferino!
You guys (Mom too) are awesome. As a 4 year Navy vet it makes me proud to see true American Farmers in action.
You are so caring , God bless America ,Sonne farms and the rest of the world .The rich have already being blessed,
Watching my farming blogs gives me renewed hope for our country, America’s farmers are hard working and they love the USA, God Bless them all!
I love the smell of alfalfa. Glad your recovery is going well.
Great to see your smiling face back “in the saddle”, I’m amazed at your progress. Keep up with your therapy and don’t do anything stupid to impede your recovery. The more and more I see your Uncle Jeff in the videos the more I’m impressed with him and you are lucky to have such an Uncle close by to relate to.
Welcome back. It's good to see that you're healing well.
You can't believe how much I looked forward to seeing a new video from Sonne Farms and Cole in particular. Hope your knee continues to heal well.
Nice to see you doing so well !!!
Have to add thank you to Tami (Mom) for taking such good care of her youngest. We, that watch the videos appreciate all you do behind the scenes. Can't say enough about how much we appreciate your family.
Really enjoy Brian and how he teaches us city slickers about farming. The bailer lesson was great! Sure wish I could turn back time to when I was 20 something and be a farmer. Think I really would have loved the life style. Get well soon, Cole!
He does a good job explaining and keeping it fun at the same time . And it's never too late , move to the country and be a farm hand for a local farmer . Not the same as owning your own farm but still the lifestyle
Working for a farm can bring just as much joy and heart ache and less mental stress than owning it. I miss supplying services to the many horse owners in our area.
Welcome back....remember, slow and steady wins the race
Dude.... take it easy. Rest and recoup. Don't push it.
Amen to your rambling about America Brian !
Cole, ur health is MORE important. Remember Sonny Sonni ,You come FIRST!!! Get that knee healed!!!!❤❤❤🍁🇨🇦
Looks like the Legend Jeff was having as much fun as you Cole. Glad to see you up and going.
Ive been patiently awaiting for this video thankyou
Stroopwaffle and coffee sounds pretty good. Great video as always
Great video Cole! Getting off the couch and out of the house and getting back to what you love, great feeling. Always makes my day when I see another video from Sonne Farms.
Good to see you getting around Cole.
Cole back on saddle, Brian took over some camera duty, and legend Jeff in action all on one video!!
Our guy that helps us harvest has knee problems too. He made a square out of 2 by 4’s that can stand up. Then he put carpet on top of it. He puts it right by the windshield and rests his leg on that. It keeps it straight when the cab is tight. Hope this helps!
Roll on Dad, agree wholeheartedly with your ramblings.
Morning ramblings with Brian Sonne! Sounds like a great RUclips channel to me!
One thing I don’t get is why people use wheel rakes. I understand the twin rakes are expensive. But man oh man they are gentler on the leaves and less dirt. But I will say, that’s one of the purrrrtiest round bales of alfalfa I’ve seen! You could trade with us,,,, we cut 6 full crops and depending on weather we usually get a partial seventh.
One thing I don't understand is why people that use twin rakes, don't use windrow mergers? To answer your question. Most farm/ranchers in the upper Midwest and foothills of the mountains where ranching is prevalent. Used to and some still do use a sickle bar mower for mowing hay. Alot of hay put up back then & now is Prairie hay Prairie Grass which consists of mainly needlegrass. The seeds are like a spear with a corkscrew on them and then a tail at a 90-degree to the main spiral. Which falls to the ground and with proper moisture the spiral unwraps and screws the seed right into the ground. So you wait until the seed drops cuz it's a little hard on the cows mouth also but mainly so it gets a chance to reseed before you cut it. By this time the food value is all in the dried leaves between an inch and 5 inches off the ground. Ergo the sickle mower and back then usually gathered with a Bunch Rake into Windrose and then bucked into one location where the stack would be made and lifted up on the stack with a push off Stacker with usually two guys tromping the hay to form the stack so that it would stay together and shed water. Then came along the little round baler which made bales about the same length as The Idiot squares of today but only about 24 in in diameter. Which were throwing up to the guys in the back of a truck or on a wagon that were stacking them by a one-armed Bandit, Bale loader. Along with the invention of the round baler, came the side delivery rake! Witch on some models of a fair length we're driven by a chain and sprocket setup on the front metal wheel with cleats to drive the rattletrap. Very high-maintenance lots of zerks. With later being power-takeoff driven , more maintenance!! Then they came out with the wheel rake. Little maintenance,a few easy to get to zerks and a hydraulic cylinder or two. Very versatile, you could gather a wide area of sickle bar mowen Prairie hay into 1 window that made uniform round bales. Three Windrows by a smaller swather, two brought in and piled on one if it was a lean year. Then they came out with the big round baler that was wrapped with twine or the Twisted plastic wine that was a pain. Then the invention of the net wrap, was perfect in combination with the double wheel rake rolling to windrows together to make one that made a perfectly packed big round bale that wouldn't explode when you were loading and transporting. BTW , you probably already knew about the independent suspension on the wheels so they float up over those obstacles like Badger holes , prairie dog holes , and gopher Mounds!!! & that was a lot I had to say about that.
Glad to have you back on current video's! Take care that you do not over do, as that would be Heck for sure! God Bless All of You!!
Hey Cole this is Mike and Sherrill from Phoenix Arizona, just wanted to say great to see you up and around keep up the great work. Also wanted to drop your dad a note, we really appreciated his comments about loving America we are American loving citizens also and really appreciate the fact that someone else is speaking out about it. And we do need to get our people back to work and off their butts. Have a great day keep moving forward we look forward to the next video.
Totally agree with Brian. We need to get America back on track.
LOL Back in my Hay days. I was a John Deere mechanic. Yes the old Tech school and school of Hard Knox. After graduation and hired at John Deere. One of my first tasks I got was working on a self propelled swather. I was glad to see yours has hydraulic cylinders that does your steering. The one I worked on, only had like 5 hours on it. Complaint was it would not steer. Tested it and was fine no issues. Once oil heated up. OMG The good Lord himself would be the only one that could hold a straight line. Even just look at the steering wheel and it would do a 360. It took us back at the shop many hours to figure out inside the transmission was a plate with a bunch of tubing inverted into it that another plate mounts to. One tube had popped out. It was a mess to fix and figure out. Love your channel and hope you have a speedy recovery.
Cole sure chose a good time to be down, Fingers crossed for a trouble free time for you and your brother while your making hay, but most important don’t rush because thats when accidents happen, stay safe.
Great vid that 7330 looks good on the baler Brian great talk on our great country we are blessed to be farmers it’s the best job. God bless USA Keep farming!🚜
Great having you back Cole and that your knee his healing ok.
Nice to see you back on your feet again Cole, Congrats to the newly weds.
Agree with you Brian, America needs to start moving forward again. Don't matter what political party your in Republican or Democrat, as an American you should be absolutely outraged that some refuses to work together on politics that are a good thing for most people in America. I would be ashamed of myself if I was one of the idiots in both parties that would refuse to work with one or another. Wake up America, there's no place for party politics and hate. Same goes for the manufacturing companies, work with your workers not against them. Then everyone would be better off in years to come.
Cole, nice to see you up and rolling!!! Brian, spot on!!!!!
My 1 1/2 year old has been watching your videos with me. Due to that he has a love for “tactors.” My uncle recently passes and my aunt gave my son nearly 50 John Deere, Case IH, Ford, and New Holland tractors and accessories. Needless to say he is in heaven. Thanks for inspiring my little guy. He loves watching you guys drive your “tactors.”
awesome!
Looking good!! May you be blessed with a strong recovery
Good to see your healing up Hoppy.
Brian I loved your morning rant. God bless you and your family.
Cole, so glad to see you up and around! And Brian, your words ring true - we need to get back to work!
The Sonne brothers are very calm, understanding and humble. I assume that the sister and other family members are the same. So wonderful to listen to family members who work hard, love their families and practice the Golden rule.
Congrats, Ethan & Courtney!
Cole, as always great video! I hope you don't miss your own wedding because of knee surgery that'd be awkward.
Wedding? Wedding! Did I miss something?
The new mower is awesome! I thought Jeff might take the camera for a minute. That would be great! Who else thought Jeff was waving and waved back? 😂😂 Just me?? So happy to see you up and around Cole. You’ll be back for harvesting maybe.
Hi Cole and Brian thank you for sharing everything.God bless you and your family today and always.Have a blessed church service Sunday.Cole take care of yourself and don’t over do it .
New swather looking good! Glad you are on the mend and getting back in the saddle.
Cole , Good to see you are doing good with your surgery? Be careful , listen to your Doctor !! Really enjoyed this video. Your equipment looks nice & clean !
Hope your recovery is still going well, nice to see you back on the move! Brian is right about the country...love this country!
❤️ America! Thank you Brian, Cole and Jeff. I’m looking forward to more videos. Good to hear you are healing, Cole.
Cole -- sounds like you're healing up really fast! Yay! Brian - I enjoyed your part of the video. I'm amazed at how much knowledge you both have!
Glad to see your on your feet again, GOOD LUCK!
That's some beautiful hay. Happy to see Cole up and moving.
I'm sitting here on Vancouver Island and I can smell that hay from here. Just about 60 years since I slung bales, but the memories are permanent. Cole, good to see you back in the saddle, so to speak. Thanks for your nod to the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice. Doesn't take long to say, but we owe a huge debt of gratitude. Brian, your big picture comment about America getting back to work - sure wish more people understood that, especially here in Canada. Anyhows, love your vids guys.
That was some excellent and very relevant ‘ramblings’. It’s insane that the government is still sending checks to people that can and should be working ! Unfortunately it says a lot about our population that would rather sit at home and collect ‘free’ money than go back to work....especially when our supply chain is struggling to keep up with demand for the people who are working. The preverbal slope is getting steeper and more slippery....
"You ever been on a steering wheel knob? Well you are now." Priceless!
Good to see back in the saddle Cole! Just don't over do it. Brian, you hit the nail on the head! I always enjoy your words of wisdom. It is high time Americans got off their a$$e$ and back to work. In our area there is help wanted signs all over but no one wants to work.
Glad the surgery went well and hope the recovery is still on track. Good to see a nice 1st cutting of hay. Agree completely with Brian's comments on the country.
I was so happy to see a new video today. I hope you been on your best. Sounds like your healing fast. Tell Dad it was great to see him making a video and explaining how the the equipment works correctly. Love you guys. Thank you again for sharing with us.
Good to see you back, Cole! Not used to seeing you in shorts and tennis shoes!! LOL
Watch those squats. My brother blew out his knee when his doctor had him do a squat during his yearly physical.
God bless America and Sonne Farms.
damn
That is some beautiful alfalfa, Cole. I hope your knee comes along well. My wife offers you her best wishes; she had knee replacement surgery three weeks ago, and understands what you are going through.
You were not rambling, Brian, you spoke from the heart. A good American you are.
Oh Cole, I have sympathy pains watching you.
I pray you're healing amazingly!
cole very cool video looks like that mo co does an excellent job tell Brian i agree with his rambling
Good to see you moving along. Great views of America from Brian. Keep America Strong. 🇺🇸
Thank you for your Patriotic Ramble Dad. I couldn't agree with you more. God Bless America and God Bless you and your family!! John here, from the back-roads of Tennessee.
Hi Cole,so nice to see you back and getting around so soon.God Bless you and your family for sure I think it was another great video. You do such a wonderful job at this I`am certain that your family is so proud of you. Please be careful and keep up the great job.You are the greatest ! Gerry
I've never seen an economy in such a mess as we are now. The supply chain in every field of work is a complete mess. Prices are changing nearly monthly now. Roll on Sonne Farms...
I was on a United flight last week and they served prepackaged strop waffles. It was pretty good. It made me think of you guys immediately
It is so wonderful to see all y'all work so good together you know it's wonderful makes my heart warm God bless you and take care of all of you and thank goodness Cole went through his surgery well 😋
Brian thanks for showing us how to change a roll and "that's all I'm going to say about that"
Really glad you're back. Love to watch your dad, but the two of you together make my day! Be safe and take it easy on your knee.
Thank you for taking the time to remember those who gave all. Love the swather. I pretty much grew up surrounded by alfalfa fields near Las Cruces, NM and loved watching the farmers run their swathers. 👍
Wonderful video. Great start to the weekend ... take care Cole. And Brian -- thank you for sharing your thoughts on the country's recovery from our self-imposed shut down.
Glad you’re healing so well, Cole. And Brian, I agree with you on being a proud American. You fellas keep on keeping on. From Illinois😉
Jeff is amazing and yet so quiet. He seems a lovely man and you are very lucky to have him as your uncle. Nothing is too much trouble for him. Oh please Cole you have way to much intellignce than to be watching “ the office “ please. Your parents paid to have you educated. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Brian love the rambling..... We feel the same way here your neighbors to the East..... Bring back our America...... Hugs from Minnesota...... Cole you take it easy.....
So glad your surgery went well Cole! Don't push too hard because we all want this to be your LAST knee surgery. You got lots of farming to do for many, many years. Pace yourself.
Good to see you recovering!
Brian, your "rambling" is spot on. I love this country as do you. We need to take back control of our future.
Exactly.
So glad to see Cole up and around! I loved this video. Thanks for your rambling Brian. You got to me. I couldn't agree with you more. There are a lot of us who want to save what's great about this country.
Welcome back. And good luck and for a speedy recovery.
“Here comes the legend, Jefferino” 😂🤣🥰❤️🙏 I love your humour. Get plenty of rest and hope your knee heals quickly.
Always loved the look and smell of fresh-cut alfalfa. Thank you for the Memorial Day mention. Brian, I love our country, too. Cole, get well.
COLE ! ! !
We are glad to see you back and moving around !
"Mulligan, missed a spot" love it. Love your attitude when you are working! You and your dad and Uncle have the best relationship! Keep these videos coming! Hope the leg/knee is healing up well!
Thanks!
Amen on your ramblings for the morning. We need to get this country working again.
