    Great job with this. I have to ask though, What was the hot liquid you poured over the cleaver?

      Thanks for the comment. Before finishing the knife I gave it a vinegar patina to help prevent corrosion. I boiled apple cider vinegar and poured it over the blade and let it sit for about 30 min.
