    This video on mixing turquoise was inspired by viewer feedback after I posted my "How to Mix Green" video. Check that video out here: "How to Mix 42 different greens in watercolor" - studio.krisdeb...

    Thank you for describing the difference. I have always wondered the difference as translations to Spanish usually use the same word for turquoise and teal.

    Hello, Kris. I came across your youtube channel looking for ways to mix a bright blue for the feet of a Blue Footed Boobie I'm going to be painting in watercolor. Even going over the DS online chart I wasn't finding what I needed in a convenience color. So far this video has given me ideas how to get there though. You're very good at teaching and very generous with what you're sharing. I'm very impressed and will be following you. Thank you! 🙏🏼❤️💯

    As a beginner, I fell in love with all things "Turquoise"... and not having Brand color charts, I have enough of this convenience color to share! Along with magentas.... ha!😂 The color dot charts are great! I prefer having colors ready to go... I loved how you made the colors! Thank you! And thanks for sharing the links to buy! Awesome! I haven't painted for a year and mostly just play with colors... comparing and swatching! A California Gramma ❤

    Thank you saving me 💵 . I was going to buy a Turquoise tube but the swatches weren’t doing it for me and was worried that whatever I buy - Holbein or WnN or DS would not be the shade I wanted.

    Hi again, would you be able to share if azo yellow from Daniel Smith and nickel azo yellow are the same? Thx😊

    • @KrisDeBruineStudio
      @KrisDeBruineStudio  Год назад +4

      Hi. No, they are quite different. Azo Yellow is made from PY151 and is a cooler yellow - closer to lemon yellow. Nickel Azo Yellow is made from PY150 and is warmer and more similar to Yellow Ochre - an earth tone. Here are the links to the Daniel Smith website so you can see the difference: Azo Yellow - danielsmith.com/color-stories/watercolors/azo-yellow-watercolor/ and Nickel Azo Yellow - danielsmith.com/color-stories/watercolors/nickel-azo-yellow-watercolor/
