I'm so glad I found this. I'm doing a banquet theme of "trash to Treasure" and I'm doing a lot of upcycling for the decorations and party favors. I'm hoping to get lots of inspiration from this hop.
Hello! I am a Grade 5 pupil and my science teacher showed this video to make a DIY wind-chime for our "5Rs Project". I am from the Philippines and my classmates used bottle caps (I have not seen the video) and bottle caps are really common because of our uncle's drinking a lot XD. Sorry if I am a lot chatty since I am the first of my classmates to comment on this video but you may see some anime fans since a lot of my classmates watch anime.
I just love this idea and purchased a round punch just for this. It is finished and I love it but did have to buy o-rings to put together because mine kept snagging on each other in the wind. Also I put 2 o-rings between each circle for more movement. Thanks for great idea!
One of the best crafting videos I have seen....thank you a thousand times for sharing your creativity, skill and awesome teaching skills! Making three of these..... one will be owl shapes and another mermaids, seashells and seahorses....such a fun project and one for every room in the house!!!
Thank you for this video. I have made wire wrap jewelry so making the jump rings will be easy. But learning to cut the cans as easily as you do will be a challenge. I really enjoyed watching you as you made everything look so easy and your directions were perfect.
Brilliant video and so easy to follow, a great idea for my parents for their garden or their conservatory as both are in to recycling as myself x Thank you for sharing xxxxxx
+Deliberately Creative -Stephanie Bergeron So glad you like the project! Thanks for the feedback on the process... that's so helpful and encouraging! Appreciate you watching & commenting!
Hello from Saskatchewan 🇨🇦. Thank you so much for all of your trash to treasure art. I'm so glad I happened to find you on u tube. Looking forward to trying out you recycle projects.
What an informative video. My friend was here watching and he has a large collection of coke tins. He watched with me and was inspired to have a go himself. You made it very clear and easy to follow each step. Thank you so much for sharing your idea, hugz, Anne xx And John x
+Anne Elder Hello Anne and John!! Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! I can't begin to tell you how much it means to hear that John is inspired to give this a go. I'd love to hear how it turns out for him (or see if you'd like to share)! I appreciate you for watching and taking the time to comment. Your words life me up! Hugs... Pam
+Pink Poodle Crafts You make me smile so Big!! So glad that you love this and that you'll give it a try! Can't wait to see how yours turns out. This project was a lot of fun and so easy... I love using these cans for die cuts too. TFW! Hugs!
this is way good!! the idea, the concept, the presentation, the instructions were all crystal clear. very creative and engaging video all the way through. enjoyed watching this!!
+CreativeTube Your comment has me grinning ear-to-ear I'm so happy! Thank you for watching and letting me know that you liked the project and the video. Your words are so encouraging ... I'm looking forward to doing more videos with detailed information like this. I appreciate you so much!
Yes, I agree with +CreativeTube. I love the project and thoroughly enjoyed the video instructions and presentation. There wasn't any part of the instructions that left me being unclear about a step. I'm going to enjoy making these as soon as I get the courage to approach people at the recycling center to 'buy' their recycling off them since no one in my family drinks soda or bottled water - lol. I'll be thinking up a way to do this with items in my own recycling/trash bin until then. I really enjoy CAC events. Thank you for participating.
Oh my goodness, I just had a look at the description. What an awesome detailed list you gave. You are so very thorough. I am impressed. Thank you for taking the time to list the starting points for each segment of your video as well as listing the supplies. Plus I forgot to mention in my note above how much I appreciated your not just showing the 'How to' of the project but also the 'How to' of the cutting of the cans. They can be tricky. I'm looking forward to your next project and video!
+Ash s Vision Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! I'm glad to hear that the instructions were clear and that you enjoyed the project. Love your solution to acquire materials at the recycle center except for having "buy" trash LOL. I'd love to know what you come up with using the items in your own bin! Glad you enjoy the CAC events.. It's an awesome group with some amazing talent and wonderful people.
+Ash s Vision I'm sooo glad to hear that you like the details in the description. That is wonderful to hear and let's me know it's worth the extra effort to do that. I wanted viewers to find their place easily if they just needed a certain segment. Thanks for watching and sharing your feedback it's very helpful to me!!
Omg this is so awesome.dont drink soda pop, but will beg for cans! Love your cutter made things easy .where did you get it? Ohh I wish I knew you so you could be my one on one teacher and advise me.
I just got to the point to where I took a box cutter and split the can down the middle and cut off the ends saved ALOT of time. I kind of wanted to take the bottoms and sticks eyes everywhere or making a snake or dragon.
I LOVE it! The bells added even make it cooler. I am curious about it chiming! lol I would really like to try this one. :D Thanks so much for sharing this. :D
+Susan Bishop This has been hanging outside and one of the things I noticed that i really love about it is the aluminum is so lightweight that the circles move even when there is no detectable 'breeze'. It's held up to strong winds without getting tangled. There is a slight chiming.. the sound of the bells isn't very prominent I think because they are the heavier type that give that 'deeper' jingle (like reindeer bells vs tinkle bells... sorry.. does that make sense?) It sounds pretty cool though ... very subtle ... the aluminum circles give a nice rustling sound... i think next time i might try a different type of bell. I'm thrilled to hear you like this and want to try it!! I'd love to hear how yours turns out! Thanks for watching and commenting!! ~ Pam
+Lexy Galloway Thank you so much for subscribing to my channel!! Welcome! I'm thrilled that you "love like love" this project... you make me smile!! Waving back at you
this wind chime is so awesome I want to make one but I don't have the stock pile of cans that you have lol... I guess I am going to have to ask around the neighbor hood for cans ha ha maybe go thru the recycle bins lol
+Nancy Vastine Hi Nancy! You're funny but really pretty brilliant ... I'll bet people would be so happy to give you their cans you'd be overrun in no time! I'm thrilled that you like this wind chime. It's giving me a lot of pleasure. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment. Hugs.. Pam
I love your video I can’t wait to make one. I have a question where did you get the bells to put on the bottom? They don’t look like traditional jingle bells.
Hello! I found the bells at Hobby Lobby. Have fun with your project... would love to hear how it turns out. Thanks for watching and commenting. (also, sorry for the delay responding... I'm not notified by email anymore when I get comments) Happy Day.
i like to put up windchimes to mess with inconsiderate neighbors who mess with my sewer line I just use whole cans suspended from wire or plastic chain...
Bummers!!! It’s tittled wind chime... Watched the whole video.... And never got to hear the sound!!! ☹️🙁😕 So I’m not sure if its worth making it for the CHIME sound.
Thanks for sharing your creative talent with us your viewers.
