@@nigel8499 I've tried a few times to get the roast beef meal but it's always out of stock. M&S was crazy busy today, I'll leave it until the new year and I'll try again
Great review, Steve. It's wayyyyy overpriced at £6. M&S tried something different to the usual Christmas Dinner ready meals that are doing the rounds but it's just not great. Thanks for trying it out.
This is something you can buy all year here minus the pigs in blankets, it’s in the TV dinner range, and Diners do hot turkey sandwiches with stuffing , and gravy on a slice of bread, and all delis, most supermarkets, diners, breakfast places do lots of different cold Turkey sandwiches with stuffing, it’s popular in triple decker sandwiches usually with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise, on toast.😊
Hi Steve , another excellent review here of the M+S product - The price is ridiculous but then again it was M+S and a voucher from your work ! such a shame it didnt match the price on quality ! have a great Saturday Mate :-)
Merry Christmas to you..Humbug(hat)............Suggestion..camera stand for Christmas..so you can film food placed and eaten from table..less chance of accident and eat easier 😂😂😂😂
Really appreciate this review as I was going to buy it. Could you consider doing the M&S Beef, pork, chicken, lamb versions. Also they do sliced turkey so perhaps a 2 meat dinner. M&S British roast Turkey 4 slices £4.00 120g or 2 items for £7.00 (£3.50)
@@BitOfMunch I could tell by your reaction. Very expensive too as sainsburys own are £2.50 you could buy two and have an 800grams roast dinner for £5 lol
At £6.00 Steve this M&S Roast Turkey Meal is way overpriced pal... You could buy the following from Morrisons for only £8.54... And feed four people quite easily mate. 👍 Morrisons Savers Unsmoked Gammon Joint 650g £2.66. Morrisons Mashed Potato 400g £0.90. Morrisons Frozen Mixed Vegetables 1Kg £1.19. Morrisons Roast Potatoes 800g £1.00. Morrisons Sage & Onion Stuffing Mix 85g £0.55. Morrisons 12 Yorkshire Puddings £1.25. Morrisons Beef Gravy Granules 200g £0.99. Totaling £8.54... And this would easily feed four people... Making each meal just £2.14.👌
Rick, absolutely ridiculous comparison. This is a ready meal for one person, not four people, that takes no effort and is ready in 30 minutes. That bargain basement gammon joint you mention takes 90 minutes to cook, then there is the additional time and effort in preparing the rest. Of course, if a single person wants to cook 4 roast dinners for himself and spend a lot of time doing it then in all likelihood he's probably wearing a straightjacket like yourself 🤘
@@davidmitchell4041 What a ridiculous thing for you to state!... I didn't say that the list of Morrisons food was a direct comparison to the M&S ready meal... I mentioned that the £6 price tag was ridiculously overpriced... And i simply gave a price comparison with what anyone could buy with that kind of money... And out of the two reviewers I've seen trying this M&S Roast Turkey Dinner... One had mould growing on the food inside his ready meal... And this one that Steve tried here... Wasn't very memorable either... As Steve didn't rate it as anything special himself... Ready meals are normally priced at between £2 and £4 depending on their size... We all know that they're purchased for convenience... But why would someone purchase a M&S Roast Turkey Dinner ready meal for £6... When they could buy something similar for an average of £3... Half the price of this rather underwhelming M&S Roast Turkey Dinner ready meal... But if you needed a similar comparison David... Then here it is. The Bisto Roast Chicken Dinner Ready Meal 450g for £2.50... And it contains the following ingredient amounts. Gravy (33%) Roast Potatoes (22%) Chicken Breast (20%) Peas (11%) Carrots (8%) Sage and Onion Stuffing Ball (6%). The M&S Roast Turkey Dinner 420g for £6.00... Contains the following ingredient amounts. Roast Potatoes (26%) Cooked British Turkey Breast (17%) Carrots (12%), Peas (9%), Cooked Sausages Wrapped in Streaky Bacon (6%) Is that a near enough comparison for you then David?. 😂
Just Deano was going to review this same dish. When looking through the film cover we could see fungus on the roasts and carrots. He peeled of the film and he said it stank to high heaven. Needless to say he didn't eat it. Disgusting for such an expensive meal.
Thanks, Nige
That's incredibly generous of you Nigel, I'll definitely do that M&S Roast Beef now, might even add some turkey on the side 😃 Thanks again mate!
@@BitOfMunch appreciate it.
Just wondering how to heat the Turkey without losing the texture.
Perhaps lower temp microwave for 30s.
Not sure.
I'll give that some thought, it'll probably be about a week until I do it

That's unusual Janet, quite often I review something and you say you can't get it over there!

Thanks Graham, yes this was disappointing but at least I didn't spend my own money on it 🙂
Agree.i have tried this a few Christmas’s ago and found it lacklustre- nothing making it pop taste wise. Good thorough review 🎄🎄🎄‼️🙌
Thanks Glenda, seems we agree on this one 👍
Again £6.50 for a meal for one is really a lot of money. No way is that worth it IMO. M & S go for the snob value.
Crazy comparing it to Iceland's roast dinner as M&S's is heavier and more significantly it's fresh.

I've already reviewed the M&S Roast Pork and Chicken, I don't like lamb but I might do the beef
It's because of the wine this cost alot maybe 😅. Have a nice day steve
Maybe Jas 😄 And you mate 🙂
oh blimey, you weren't wrong - it even looked lack lustre on the plate. But, that's why you do what you do - you taste test for us!
It's my pleasure, well most of the time!
Nice review Steve! Ahh the new pepper makes an appearance. Not going to try this one based on what you say here.
Thanks, this meal was disappointing 😕
@@BitOfMunch Yes I got that from your comments, shame really but that happens once in a while for most supermarkets.
Yum i love ready meals
Unfortunately this isn't one of the best 😐

Yes I saw that, I examined my meal thoroughly before I cooked it!
Another reviewer tried this and his was mouldy?
Yes that was Deano, I saw that
Mm a bit on the dear side doesn't look worth it tbh
Definitely wasn't worth the money.

I don't think I can help you with that!
M&S overpriced and overated crap
There's good and bad products, like all shops.
