I stole (with kinda permission to keep it lol) this CD from my mom. I found it in the garage after she had lost my Halestorm CD. I loved Selena Gomez and had heard a couple of songs off the album. Most of my favorite songs were from When The Sun Goes Down, but I'd take anything I could get. I wasn't allowed on anything but youtube kids (I occasionally watched Maroon 5 music videos on my great grandma’s computer but that was about it-) and I wasn't even allowed that til I was 11. I had a monster high karaoke machine that I used to play Now That's What I Call Disney CDs. So whenever I didn't have my ipad or iPod, or didn't have something to listen to music on, I would alternate between this album and Disney. I ended up becoming very fond of this album and learning all the words to all the songs. Listening to it again is a nostalgia trip. I think I still have the CD somewhere but I bet it's scratched all to hell (it already skipped a bit when I first took it and then the case broke and I had to put it in the same case as another CD,) and I don't have the karaoke machine anymore since it broke.
When I was little I got really excited because I did end up finding my mom’s When The Sun Goes Down CD under my great-grandma’s TV stand. I excitedly opened the case to look at the song listing, only to find that to my disgust and horror, the disk was covered with roach carcasses. I threw the case on the floor and begged my mom to clean the CD cuz my at the time favorite Selena song was on that album (Love You Like A Love Song,) but she told me it wasn't salvageable and to just throw it away. I was devastated and disgusted 🥲
I doubt anyone cares, but I just love sharing about my childhood and that CD was a big part of it ❤️
