I've often said there is about six different people in this clip. Brilliant watching all the characters morph from one to half a dozen without interrupting the flow.
My favourite sketches are Deedee's Yoker sketch, Wrong way down a one way street and your early Fifer accent vines. The plasterer gets an honourable mention. All pure class. Thanks Limmy.
tbh, no one will ever beat that and to think that that was a sketch made to be a small part of a bigger show, it really shows that limmy has an intelligence of a certain kind
The one I always go back to is the one about talking to God/Jesus at the gates of heaven. I've shown it to so many people as their 'intro to Limmy' cos it's so neatly arranged and the joke just builds beautifully - and it's done in the middle of a live stream (from what I can gather) and is completely adlibbed. It's perfect. "I like this kid...maybe if we had more people like him we wouldn't be in this god damned mess...."
Know exactly what you mean, such a true point, you're either up against your own stuff from previous which you'll never (in your own mind at least) compete with, OR you've got to do something completely different so the new thing isn't 'in competition' with the old

My favourite sketch is the one when the guy is about to commit suicide but limmy appears in a white suit and convinces the guy he can take him to heaven before he picks him up and goes "nah I'm only joking mate"...... then later on it cuts to the same character in the white suit but this time he's holding a women who has a baby and a pram next to her. 😅
Maybe it's a scottish thing but that is a spot on sketch, if I ever say anything to my dad or partner (both pro independence etc so am I tho) about Thatcher in a good way about how she was a strong woman I get an earful about what she did to scotland 😅

My dad said those exact words to me, exactly like that while smoking a rollup, 30 odd years ago. It's oddly nice to watch because of that.
