It’s not wrong information, it’s exactly what happened. I also never claimed that we figured out what caused the fault only that after removing the moisture the furnace went back to normal. I also have no idea why the new thermostat wouldn’t call for heat until after it cycled a few times with the old thermostat. As of today everything is fine including the new thermostat.
