So that was what our Bunny was doing when he leaped and flipped kicking men where it counts? Never saw anyone else do that. He disliked all men but Dad, and was almost grown before he liked my father (should have seen Dad's face first time Bunny jumped in his lap to cuddle). We got him very small, he grew very large, don't know for certain why he hated men. But he could kick.
@@kathryngeeslin9509 Aww! And yes, that's probably what he was doing. Are you sure he didn't like them? A lot of bunny behaviors seem aggressive to humans, but to your bunny they are playful displays of affection, or just ways to explore. For example, my bunny likes to push his head into me really hard, almost headbutting me, because bunnies cuddle by staking their heads and he's trying to request that I put my "head" (which he can't recognize, so whatever is closest) on his head. He also used to bite my toes because he didn't know what they were. I had to teach him not to do that by screaming, which sounded ridiculous, but it made him realize he was hurting me and he stopped forever.

But I loved having him as a housepet for several years (our previous rabbit was killed by a neighbor boy). When he eventually moved mostly outside he was larger than most cats and instantly one of four ringleaders in our large menagerie; that "boy" came back and was immediately attacked, was climbing over the fence when we reached the back door, cats didn't stop at the fence or pay attention to our calls, and we never saw that murdering brat anywhere again; I hope he learned a little respect for others. Bunny was one of those still deeply missed fifty years after his loss, a pet shop buy on rebound to ease a child's grief. He seemed to recognize that on meeting and dug into my sweater; mother shared our sob story and previously gleeful saleslady tried to pry us apart saying she'd have in "nice white bunnies" for Easter and he'd probably come back dingy after his molt; I didn't let go, he didn't let go, and he was solid black to the day he died. Always a character. And amazing leaps with midair twists and powerful kicks, deep bruising kicks. And he ate a lot more than we realized: mother had put wire netting around some evergreens that grew to the cylinder size but were tall dense trees a year after his loss. Bunny had tunnels through and under the honeysuckle covering the fence, would look down from the top or stick his ears up from below to wiggle his ears at the neighbor dog; that neighbor (with the white rabbits) was forever filling in or covering up holes along our fence desperately avoiding another tragedy. I strongly believe Bunny was not afraid of anyone (their dog was a doberman/collie mix), but was maybe possibly trying to play kind of (?), not an idea that crossed our minds, but he could play rough.
