THE PLAIN BUT BITTER TRUTH ON KASHMIR: Firstly it is due to the catalysis of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Sandhu, Pandit Birbal Dhar, Raja Gulab Singh Jamwal, etc. that Kashmir is a region of India as of now where it belongs. I was posted in Kashmir for several decades and fell in love with her and her people. Understand Kashmiri quite a bit. Studied her history the Rajataringini. While Kashmir has been a region of scholarship it has also been a very violent region. Probably not the most violent in the subcontinent alone but on this planet. This Central Asian Aryan region of India has its own ethnicity, culture, language, etc. which is distinct. Most Kashmiris like us Jat-Sikhs never marry outside thus have retained their unique personality. The few that have are pseudo-westernized, or come from family with problems. In reality all genuine Kashmiri Muslims are converts to Semitic-Islam from Kashmiri Hindus quite recently, hence, the same people. In fact while people in the Valley are civilized, their is no pseudo-westernized decadent culture of dating or women consuming wine which is being slowly and surely being pushed in many regions of our beloved country from outside our borders. Kashmiris must retain their original-ancient traditions and only learn good things from all. Thus Kashmir as a region of India will blossom. The main reason the Pandits had to suffer is: Though the physical and mental capabilities (as any objective individual will mention) of this microscopic community is second to none they lacked numbers. The genuine total number of Kashmiri Pandits is globally about 300,000, while in the Valley before the problems arose there were less than 100,000! Thus how could one anticipate the unarmed Pandits to take on the terrorists when it has taken 700,000 troops to bring peace. Once the Semitic-Arabs invaded Aryan-Zoroastrian Iran a similar situation arose and the Zoroastrians of Iran were often in trouble. It was in reality the great Abul-Qâsem Ferdowsi Tusi Who eased the situation for the Zoroastrians. The political cause was that though the Congress Party did not handle Kashmir properly yet Congress had great support of USSR now Russia a loyal nation. When V.P. Singh arrived n the scene the same day severe problems started to occur. It was then the peak of Cold War and tiny Pakistan was backed by USA then and by the Paper-Tiger China while India was left on her own and V.P. Singh had no great relations with the USSR either and the latter was in turmoil due to reorganization. What prevented the fragmentation of India was the nuclear weapons deployed by Mrs. Indira Gandhi and the brilliant defense minister of V.P. Singh namely Raja Ramanna mentioning that he would not hesitate to use these. Now the way forward is to follow the path of the great Mr. Putin in Chechnya. Retain the troops in the valley and liquidate the terrorists and give respect and dignity to the Kashmiris. So that they even fight for their motherland India (if necessary) like Chechens are doing for their beloved Russia. All Kashmiri Pandits and other displaced people must be brought back immediately with all the necessary arrangements and I am confident most of their Muslim brethren will welcome them. The global situation favors this and we have all the means to achieve this now. The Cold War is over thus the earlier agenda of other nations has little meaning; though India must never drop her guard. SIMPLE SOLUTION BRING THE KPs BACK AND SETTLE THEM IN SECURE REGIONS OF THE VALLEY. THE PRESENT GOVERNMENT CAN LEARN FROM MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH AND THE JAMWAL KSHATRIYAS (RAJPUTS) AS TO HOW THEY RULED KASHMIR. SEMITIC-ISLAM ARRIVED IN THE 14th CENTURY A.D. AND ALL GENUINE KASHMIRI MUSLIMS ARE CONVERTS FROM ARYAN CENTRAL ASIAN HINDUS (THOUGH OF DIFFERENT CASTES) TO ISLAM. ONLY SOME BRAHMANS DID NOT CONVERT.
