Is there any reason you have to lead him by the nose? I have shown professionally and we use the nose ring only when they are not cooperating with the halter. We have a separate rope on it. We had a Limousin herd on our land for a while. The cows were pretty aggressive especially those with calves to protect, and the bull was totally chilled by comparison. I think all his energy,was spent elsewhere.
