Oh my goodness, the hot water! I forgot to mention it. 🤦🏻♀️ I tried every position on the shower handle (left and right) and could not get the hot water to work. I didn't want to bother the front desk, so for the 1st couple of days, I bit the bullet and took cold showers. By day 3, we finally got the water to get lukewarm. I should've called reception and asked if there was a "trick" to it. Yes, the silent night was actually really fun. You'll think it's silly at first, but once you put the headphones on, you'll start dancing!

I personally liked Cofresi better because it was quieter. Tropical seemed to have more of a party crowd. The ocean water on the Tropical side was nicer, though (it had less seaweed), but from Cofresi to Tropical is a quick 5min walk along the beach.

We've stayed at tropical 4 times and are going back to stay at confresi in April for 3 weeks that's our usual amount of time we spend there
