OH MY GOSH. THANK YOU SO MUCH GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL. I've been wondering how to do this stupidly simple operation for years. And also your commentary is absolutely top notch. Subscribed.
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH, NOW I CAN FINISH MY SCHOOL PROJECT THAT HAS BEEN TAKING FOREVER, BECAUSE I MADE A COMPLICATED 3D SKETCH WHEN WE WERE SUPPOSED TO JUST DO A 2D SKETCH AND EXTRUDE IT.
I was getting so frustrated not being able to find that Share Sketch feature, there being absolutely no mention of it in all the forums I visited about this workflow, I was about to just give up and quit. Thanks for the help, guy.
In inventor 2017 I had to type texts on surfaces. I encounter time and time again I can't see font that I need to use, it's not there on the list, I know I have the font installed (got font managing software, that font shows up in Photoshop). Why does inventor only show specific fonts, do fonts need to be Truetype or Opentype smth?
It's nice to be able to though. It makes finding the right items in your model tree easier. Also drag-and-drop accomplishes the same thing if you put it somewhere outside of the consuming operation.
ABSOLUTELY LOOOOOVE your commentary.... what does TFI stand for? The F&%$ Is this??? hahaha just kidding, love you though, I have just subscribed. Looking forward for more of your videos.
7 years later, but I watched this, followed it until Inventor crashed, and I have to say that some of your frustrations with Inventor are also mine. Navigation SUCKS. It keeps giving me error messages after performing actions that the program's supposed to be able to perform. So, I need to sometimes spend hours looking for a workaround. I come from a VFX background with Maya, and while Maya's not geared for engineering, its overall modeling and animation features blow the pants off Inventor's. Hard to believe these both come from the same company.

Thanks man. I've got so many of these videos that I can't even remember making this one!
Fantastic! I've been trying to do this with a curved/tapered wireframe! Thanks for showing us how it's done!
Just what I needed to quickly design a multifaceted cover over a frame. Thanks, and I'll check out Pluralsight as well.
Thank you so much for this! was searching for a good bit to learn how to do this! Your instructions were easy to follow and really helped me a lot!

Another gem I just stumbled over.
Wow! Another good tip for building my models! Thank you
super good video for surface
Any workflow tips for working around Inventor's lack of a chord fillet feature?
You can also stitch all surfaces, it then gives an option to turn into a solid if there are no open zones

and I subscribe for just this one video. Thank you 😊
how can you flatten the solid at 6:00 ? like an origami
hi, when i do sculpt it tells me there is a modelling issue... any sugguestions?
can you explain the difference between solid body and surface modelling
Is it possible to make a sheet metal part by using this method?
Is it possible to make the frame from the solid body?
hehehe :D
That's the same reason I'm here. I need to go backward from an extrusion to a 3d sketch.
You saved my life...
Thank you man, you've saved my day. BTW you're a nice commentator))
Excelente aporte. Gracias

Thanks!!!!
Thanks I liked that.
You actually don't need to click share sketch. If you just make it visible and use it again it gets shared by auto.
