@@ImLJL there’s this really short one I like called Gunsmith Cats. It’s 3 episodes but real neat. Not quite as old as the ones you’re covering here, but still 90s. And again, short and sweet

7:35 One I would highly recommend from the openings you went through here is Silver Fang. Yes it is about bear hunting dogs but there is a lot more to it, including political intrigue among clans of wild dogs ending in all out war. It is quite gory, which makes it so funny how popular it was among children in the northern countries, like dogs get ripped to shreds by those bears and the dogs in turn rip chunks out of the bears until they bleed to death not just animals either but people too. It was heavily censored when it was aired over here but still a lot of blood. Also yes the dogs do have shonen special attacks.

I'm watching Space Cobra right now and lost it when I saw the frame from the OP at the start of the video, the opening is SO good, such a fun show too. Some great 80s OPs I didn't see mentioned are the 2nd Oishinbo OP, Dang Dang Ki ni Naru, the original Macross OP, Macross, and one of the Area 88 [OVA] OPs, How Far to Paradise, would definitely check them out if you're in the mood for this kind of music. Fun video.
