I recommend using make-up brushes for shading with pastel.
They are softer and take the pastel better too. This way, there are no stains on the horse

He turned out really nice! I’m working on a beautiful custom and she’s turning out beautiful! She’s a little grainy because I haven’t found a sealant or primer that I prefer yet, but I’ve been sanding a lot and using paint. Also if mesh netting is hard to use with pastel just use a pencil sharpener! It works great! 💖💖

Mules have completely different face shapes compared to horses with a wider forehead and eyes that are turned downwards. You have amazing skills and and I’m no way close to the sculpting and painting abilities you have. Just leaving a comment. All love here ❤ I love your channel!

Wow I see how much effort you put into your mule custom it almost looks like my Breyer stablemate mule it’s coloring is almost the same as yours and it has the same swooshy tail to the side but mines funny because it’s teeth are showing 😁
I thought I saw a mule lurking in the background of one of your recent videos...I really love mules but being from the UK I have never actually seen one in the flesh. Btw mules, being hybrids and having a different amount of genes from either donkeys or horses, cannot breed...well there have been a couple of (dubious?) exceptions but as a rule, mules are sterile so it doesn't really matter if it has the equipment or not...of course they maybe act the same as horse or donkey stallions if you don't held them because I am sure they don't know about genetics and the sterility of hybrids LMAO! (Sorry was that too much?).
That was an excellent choice of component parts Josefine...he is looking like a mule at the halfway point of the resculpt...I love this one! He is gorgeous!

Yes, i kind of forget my thought process since i sculpted him many many weeks ago😅 But I do believe mules usually are gelded for some kind of reason that i cannot recall at the moment.

I was going to leave a photo on your FB (lovely picture with the horse btw) but it doesn't look like you use it much so I will leave the photo of my latest project (just the horse and action figure I am working on) on your Instagram next time I am over there...I am nothing like as good as you but thought you might like to see. I think the reason they would geld mules is that the amount of chromosomes probably doesn't affect the hormones and they are probably just As, or even more difficult due to their strength, around female equines. I know how bad my Welsh cob Prince was as he was a rig which is an improperly gelded horse. He was a monster around female horses at times and actually managed to sire a foal with Kerry his fieldmate...much to our horror...April the foal did have some of his character traits which made her a handy pony clubbing pony but moody Lol!
