Richard was so articulate and intelligent. I saw this when it first aired, never saw it again until now. Thanks for the upload!

Even in 1977 he was still getting asked the same boring question about wasting his talent by not spending enough time on stage. I’m surprised he even gave it his consideration.

That's something called "having class". Nowadays artists have too much of an ego, they can't considerate nothing, let alone find the words to defend their case. They resort in being rude... 0 class

Drinking AND smoking. He was in poor health for some time before he died. I’d recommend reading his diaries. Fascinating. He led a life for sure!

Drinking 3-4 bottles of vodka and 80 cigarettes a day does this to you. He was essentially dying at this point in his life.

For such a movie star, why is his hair not neat? So obviously clear that he is under the influence.

First of all, so-called "Richard Burton" was not his real name. I think it's a disgrace and shows complete disrespect of one's heritage to change their birth name, unless when a woman gets married. If a woman gets married and DOESN'T change her last name, that shows no respect to her husband. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the name "Richard Walter Jenkins Jr"! The change was probably made as a result of pressure from a greedy Business Manager and or Studio, with respect to perceived anticipation of greater recognition and subsequent monetary gain?!
