The wonderful part of this alapanai is the fact that neither Sanjay sir nor the violinist used the anya swarams (G3, D1, N3), atleast negligible as far as what i heard. And a lot of Bhairavi-esque NDNS.. Fresh perspective of Ananda Bhairavi indeed, showing it as a raga as though it was the child of Kharaharapriya..

      Comments:
This kriti is in the second Vibhakti
Himavan had the fortune of obtaining the lord as his son-in-law, hence his glory
The Pallavi has a “gO-puccha yati” while the Samasthi Charanam has a ”srOtO-vAha yati” which are embellishing elements, characterized by decreasing and increasing phrases of Sahitya respectively

Excellent stuff but just another day out for Sanjay. He keeps singing so well that we all expect the finest from him as if it is the minimum 🙂👏
That said I think he should have sung this slightly lower

This kriti is praising the Lord Tyagaraja, a part of Shiva and not the respected Saint Tyagaraja. That was news to me when I first read about it. Just want to share with other listeners. Nice rendition, thank you ..
