You probably aren't a miniature games guy, but West German Marder 2s have been winning tournaments recently in World War 3: Team Yankee. High speed, Chobham Armour and autocannons that can effectively penetrate nearly all types of tank side armour make them super deadly.
Cases like these always prompts a certain "Oh this must be overpowered, this can't possibly match reality" response, but I like to imagine that it probably matches reality more than we think.
@@integ3r It's actually a nice breath of fresh air in a scene where previously Warsaw Pact T-72M swarms were dominating the game. The table is 64" by 48" which is a bit too small for a late 80s setting so a common tactic was to smoke the enemy right away and drive the tanks into within missile minimum range and shoot/run their infantry off the table. WG players now counter this by driving their Marder 2s forward and lighting up the enemy side armour.
