I'm 41 years old and have finally committed to putting in the time to learn guitar. Your videos have kept me going. I'm putting in about 10 hours a week and probably 8 of those are watching your content. Thank you!

Soul Asylum is some of the best 90s music and doesn’t get played or covered enough. Holds up 25 years later
    Thanks for sharing

I remember in Feb 2017 I started learning guitar and a friend borrowed me a CD full of your tutorials, man.
You taught me a lot by just watching your tutorials, thank you 💐

I'm finally at the point now with my chords where I just need the progression and strumming pattern of basic songs. Your channel is my song library. You're stuff has been a huge tool in my learning journey.👍🏻

If you ever gave up on guitar, try picking it back up and playing again.

You have to love these four or five chord indie songs that just churn out the classics like this. It's amazing because beginners can play great songs without stressing about needing to spend years practising.

How could you travel without a guitar! My girl goes with me everywhere! I am a critical care paramedic and it’s in my arms as I type! Noobie mistake!! ;-) (kidding around)

Going on 6 years of playing I still remember a old video of your beginner guitar video. It was like over E and A. Had I kept playing boring stuff like little marry had a lamb and what not I would have quit 😂 Marty was like all yall need is theses two easy shapes to have some fun with the guitar and I was hooked.

This is one of those songs that I keep in my back pocket and is always ready to go. One of those where somebody hands you a guitar says “Oh you play guitar? Play something.”
I played it yesterday actually. I was given a little more time than my set was supposed to be, so this and a few others came out.

Love this song. When playing the G chords at the end of the chorus I like to stretch to the A note on the highest string (e.g. 320035 or 3x0035) to copy the part Dan Murphy plays on the electric.

Good morning Marty. I just watched your tutorial on Mama Kin... I'm about to go LIVE on my channel to play it for my viewers. I have incorporated collecting and stacking precious metals with '80s rock, done by a budding guitarist. I will be shouting out your channel, look for the mention if you're interested. I really enjoy your channel. Thanks for the awesome share! 👊😎

Thumbs down 👎 on this one. The strumming pattern is important and you didn’t explain it. Terrible instruction here.
