I know this from my own experience. When I moved to UK I barely talked because I was scared that people won't understand what I am saying. But what someone told me after a few weeks of working with me was: It is weird that you are fluent in english when you are laughing, angry or singing! Basically those times all the obstacles fell down and nothing held me back talking, I didn't have the time to think: am I saying things in the correct order, am I saying the words correctly. Probably the chemicals what were released in my brain due to the happiness or anger helped me not thinking what others might thinking if I talk.
it’s the same process how we memorize their Korean lyrics and sing along without understanding each word. Also, I think vocabulary is easy but sentences formation are always difficult for a non native speaker in any language.
Actually memorizing lyrics is easy compared to actually speaking the language....... You can sing in any language after hearing and repeating it but if someone ask you to speak it, you won't be able to. Music has flow and rhyming words, it makes it easy for anyone to remember a song and sing along ..........You can go with the flow but it someone ask you to sing a particular line, or to speak that same line without the melody, you won't remember a thing. Just like how we have memorise BTS songs even though they are in Korean but if someone ask a particular line, or phrase.... Unless you are quite familiar with it,you won't get it. But that doesn't stop us from singing each line in concert...😂😂😂😂😂
