Abhaya's mother has accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of lying regarding financial compensation related to the brutal rape and murder of her daughter at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. This accusation follows a statement by the Chief Minister on Monday, in which Banerjee claimed that no money had been offered to Abhaya’s parents.
Despite CM Mamata's denial of any financial offer to the victim's family, Abhaya's mother maintains that she was indeed offered money after her daughter’s horrific death. She has accused the Chief Minister of lying.
Abhaya's mother has also alleged that the CM is trying to curb the nation's voices and kill the movement seeking justice for Abhaya.
