Why a Universal Router Hood?
It collects router waste from both above and below the bit, virtually eliminating post-project cleanup, facilitating fine detail work, and reducing wear and tear on bits. It's designed to fit nearly any portable router including plunge, fixed-base, and larger trim routers (e.g. Bosch, Dewalt, Porter Cable, Ryobi, and dozens more!). Best of all, it comes with multiple, snap-on chip covers for edge, shallow edge, and inset routing.
This innovative Made in USA product vacuums router dust and debris while you work; hooks up to any wet/dry vac (not recommended for 4"+ dust collection systems). Patented design fits most fixed and plunge base portable routers (e.g. Bosch, Craftsman, Dewalt, Hitachi, Makita, Porter Cable, Ridgid, and more). Injection molded from crystal clear polycarbonate, the same material used to make bullet proof "glass", motorcycle helmets and jet fighter canopies. It’s incredibly tough and extremely durable. 1.25" I.D. / 1.5" O.D. swiveling hose connection with quick-release lock. Please Note: We do not recommend hoses smaller than 1.5” I.D. as the volume and size of the dust produced by routers can clog smaller collection ports.

I have that Bosch Router and the plastic dust thingy included is useless, it cracked after 5 minutes of use, then completely snapped in half as it's made from 2c worth of poor quality plastic and is the weak point of that router, the Oneida one looks like it might fix the issue :)

Absolutely. On my router table I have the Milescraft kit www.timbecon.com.au/dustrouter-fence-collector , and this on my fixed base so that regardless of which unit I'm using I've got the dust situation under control. I also busted the cheap afterthought that came with that router within a day....

If only, that router I'm using in this video cost me almost $700 by the time I got the fixed base to go with it. If you're cheaping out on tools, you're only wasting your money.
I bought one years ago and still have not used it as I couldn’t get it to “fit” my Triton TRA 001. Maybe I’ll try again if I pull the router out from my router table. Maybe actually showing assembly would have been more helpful and your ending was quite anticlimactic! What a waste of time
