It's so easy for someone to quickly put something without anyone seeing. In my experience it's often the guy that conveniently 'tries to help' who spikes you. So sorry this happened to you, just know it is not your fault at all - I'm glad your ok x

I would check your arm for a 'puncture' site - people have started injecting people to spike them, and you don't feel it at all but you end up with a small puncture and bruise on your arm the next day. It wasn't at all your fault, even if you spoke to them it wouldn't have been your fault. Hope you're okay!

yes! happened to me the other night and had everyone telling me i would have just drank too much because the hospital couldn’t identify if i had been spiked or not but i promise you can just tell when something isn’t right no matter what anyone says then i woke up with bruises on my arm, definitely check!!

You're correct there have been reported cases in the UK of intravenous spikings. It's important to note the cases are rare and isolated at the moment, but unfortunately you do need to stay vigilant. Intravenous spikings do not have to occur via the arm and do not always leave bruising so a clear arm is not definitive proof that you haven't been assaulted in this way. Unfortunately they can be administered via any accessible body part, so you could be up dancing and someone could inject your leg, bum, arm....anywhere they can get to without you being aware. Although these incidents are isolated the safest thing is to have a kind of buddy system. Watch out for each other and any extreme or unusual reactions or behaviours. And this extends beyond friend groups. Ladies...when you're out have a girls back wether you know them or not. If someone seems confused, out of it or not lucid...check on them. Bring it to the attention of a bouncer or bar staff. It's sad it's come to this but this is the tragic reality

As someone who had been spiked before. Please take some time off. Process this, if you have a therapist, take some time with them to understand what happened. It's one of the worst thing to happen, Im really sorry this happened to you. Look after yourself
Wowww, I was spiked around 7 months ago at a pub in the UK. One night away from my boyfriend. I was with my 4 friends in a pub full of men I didn’t know or suspect :( I was so lucky my friends boyfriend dropped me home but unfortunately I blacked out on my doorstep. I was taken to hospital in an ambulance and I was told the next day when I regained consciousness and stability that I was drugged with GHB ‘the date rape drug’. The way you described how you were feeling even after it happening, i.e confused and didn’t really know what happened was exactly how I felt. I didn’t believe it at first. In the hospital my teeth were chattering, my eyes glazed over and I couldn’t talk. I was told I had wet the bed over 10 times in the hospital. To this day now since it happened I will never leave a drink at a table or out of my hand. What was worse is none of my friends believed me at first and just thought I was too drunk… but like you I knew it felt different from how I’d ever felt before :( honestly such a hard experience which can only really be understood by someone whose experienced it first or secondhand. I am so upset my boyfriend had to witness it all in hospital. I feel awful because I don’t remember much of it… I am SO sorry Millie that you also had to go through it girl ☹️ there are some nasty people out there who would do anything clearly to get with a beautiful girl like you. Bunch of Scum 😡

I had the same feeling and I’m convinced I was spiked. Never have I felt that way same way since that night. I threw up for 12 hours! Who knows what it is and I’m so glad you were safe and had someone there to help you.

That sounds awful. Ive been spiked before me and my friend did same time thankfully we were ok and my ex saw how bad we were which he knew for me was not normal as i only have one drink n defo came from the bar as club wasnt busy it was a horrendous experience n felt weird like remember it a bit but not much like remember odd bits now i only order bottled stuff that i open or watch the bar carefully x
I’m so sorry this happened to you ☹️ I got spiked on Halloween last year, I had two drinks and next thing you know it’s the morning, still in my dress and I literally don’t remember a single thing from the night. My friends said I was on the floor and they kept having to hit me to stay conscious… I hope you’re okay now, it’s a horrible thing to have to go through 😞x

Thank you for sharing this and i'm so sorry this happened to you. I was also spiked in Dubai. It was truly terrifying. I came across your video because I wanted to know if other people had experienced this. I have come across this soooo much! The UK gov website even mentions drink spiking in Dubai as an issue for women, which isn't common place for other countries. I experienced many of the same feelings as you - questioning where my things were, not knowing if i was speaking aloud or in my head and the haze the next day. I completely blacked out and only remember the first hour, I was at a pool party and only remember the first hour, but knew i was feeling off as i became very thirsty and when i was in the pool kept dunking my face into the water because i couldn't hold my head up. I blacked out after that. The party was at 1pm and i remember the first hour or so and then woke up at 3am. I am almost certain I was unconscious at points. I'm incredibly grateful that i am not sitting in a Dubai prison right now. i've never felt so insecure in a country and felt unprotected and unable to seek medical help. This stuff is SO common in Dubai and so many women are raped/trafficked. I urge women to reconsider going, I only had one and a half small glasses of prosecco and this is how it ended up. This happened to me back in May and I'm still not done processing it. I hope you find a way to heal from this experience.

If you dont mind me asking which pool party was this, the exact same thing happened to me at a pool party in Dubai in September 2021 and I am still trying to process and would like to know if it was prehaps the same please as me as I have had a hard time believing it and alot of people just saying it was the sun or drink but the way i was, it was more than that

I was spiked in a pub in brixton, had very similar experience to you. The emergency service woman i was brought to just assumed I had drunk too much (id had 2 drinks!) and dismissed me. Its crazy how common it is, we have to be very careful these days.

Firstly I am so sorry that that happened to you it is going to take some time to process and that is okay I know that you’re probably scared but please be mindful and aware at all times you said that they moved you and your friends to a table in between two other tables and they were all men that makes me think they were watching you guys or you specifically you also said you’re not sure if it was the guys at the table that approached you and you don’t know if they were trying to help when you were on the floor outside I feel like they watched you and your friend leave the questions they were asking makes me feel like you were one step away from being trafficked and if your friend didn’t walk up when he did they would have took off with you in the car this is not to scare you but it is a thought pls take care of yourself and be safe

I had my drink spiked back in 2001 i nearly died i collapsed outside the club after the door staff carried me out I woke up to the ambulance people doing stuff to me I stayed in hospital for a few days very scary experience luckily the doorman and everyone who worked there knew me so they knew something was wrong ☹️☹️☹️
