A question: what about the six thermal connections surrounding the cpu? Since this cpu is a double quad core (four high power cores and four low power), i guess four of the heat connectors would be the low power while the two other is the integrated graphics? In that case, is redoing them unnecessary because the heat they output can be considered unimportant?
Btw the video was great, and it looked like there was fewer screws to keep track of than in older Asus models!

@@Nabo00o Yeah, because he cut out the part where he unscrews all the screws behind the bottom cover. would take my "like" back if i were you... or watch video before you give thumb up.

This video omits several IMPORTANT things, including the disc drive removal, keyboard screws, and disconnecting the HDMI. And that's just in the first few minutes. Proceed carefully if you intend to use it as a guide.

Why did you cut out the part at the begining where you remove HDD and unscrew all the screws behind the bottom cover??? The keyboard is the first thing to snap off. DO NOT PULL ON THE KEYBOARD!!!

I think you can source a G series display that will fit, that has plug and play ability in this laptop,

Does anybody else even own one of these laptops? I've been on so many forums, and have only run into 2 other N75SF owners. The popular consensus is that no GPU upgrade is possible, but as I said before, nobody actually owns one to try. The GPU sits in a MXM slot, but of which type I can't say. It's not familiar looking. I'm curious if anyone has accomplished it, through ANY means? For example MXM adapter/riser, or another card with this unfamiliar (to me) MXM slot? I really enjoy a challenge, so the idea of getting a pinout for the MXM slot, and fabricating an adapter to a more common type. MXM 3 type A springs to mind, though I'm aware it would be limited by the miniPCIE2 ×16 bus the GPU uses on this laptop. Before the obvious comments regarding power draw, or temperature are inevitably posed, The original PSU is a 19v, 4.7amp (90w) As I've planned this awhile, the PSU I currently use is 19v. 7.9amp (150w)for a bit of headroom, I've flashed the Vbios for OC purposes. As far as temp goes, I ran 1/4" OD tubing alongside the integrated cooling system soldered incrementally and fished through the space the BlueRay used to be. I used compression fittings there, to connect the tubing for a resevoir, pump and radiator. Takes about 2 minutes to safely unhook, and i can cover the presence of the water cooling completely, just by sticking the face of the DVD drive over the cooling coils ports slot, aka the place the DVD drive used to be. Who uses disks for anything but golf nowadays anyway, smh. Point is, if ANYONE has done something neat with one of these machines or has one and wants to, I'm glad to share what I've figured out. My little water cooling setup dropped my CPU temps by -16° C and my GPU by -20°C (it should be noted that I replaced my thermal paste with MX4 during this overhaul as well, in retrospect I should have lapped their surfaces too. You live, you learn) Anyhow, anybody that has done anything with one of these machines or just wants to see how I did mine, feel free to contact/educate me on this please. Or if you have a pinout for the MXM on this board, or know who does have it, please let me know
