Hu Tao's cooking is great for maximum output on revival items. Their healing sucks anyways, so the extra 6% chance to double up on your eggs or steak etc. is a niche.
I felt that Hu Tao is made specifically as bait to the whale...I mean, all the limited event character is, but from the OP constellations bonus, staff of homa that practically tailor made for her, easy artifacts requirements, she's just the most blatant example IMO

One thing that Jay forgot to mention(I think): the white tassle(a 3* weapon) is actually a very good weapon for Hu Tao. It has crit rate main stat, and passive that increases normal attacks(up to 45ish%). If your Hu Tao is C0, you won't be doing charge attacks too much, so the passive will be very useful. A lot of people always forgot about this weapon
I didn't pull for her because I was saving up for zhongli but I cracked and spent all my wishes on the homa-gravestone banner and ended up with no zhongli, no hutao and no 5 star weapon 💀💀

got qiqi as my 75th wish on hu tao rerun, i was pretty sad since i really like her, but i still wished after qiqi and got hu tao 10 wishes after qiqi! i wish you luck for those still pulling!
Ok, ok, ok. As a Noëlle main, who farms in gunyun domain, I encounter lots of hu taos (for some unknown reason), lots of toxic hu taos. To all those idiots, I have a message. And I think I speak for most Noëlle mains, and jean mains, in most domains. Hu tao is great character, but you need a brain to use it. When my heal stat is also my damage stat, I won't lower it to please you, yes, I deal slightly less damage than you, but remember, you don't deal damage when you are dead, so let me heal you, your 30% pyro damage bonus isn't that important ya know?
If you don't have ZL for shields, the next best option is Diona. Her Q heal isn't too much and you can always step out of it, she has decent cryo application, and she provides a pretty decent shield if you stack her up with HP.
