Hey, that's what happened to me with The Joy of Painting. I got tingles just a little bit once, some years ago, before I knew what ASMR was. Apparently, it happened to plenty of other people as well, understandably. I wonder just how many people experienced tingles, but never sought it out again.

Just because we were in sixth grade doesn’t mean we were 6 years old. Anyway, I had a friend who always sat next to me on the carpet. My first "ASMR" experience had to be when I was very young and getting a haircut, and when they would get the razor on the back of the neck, slowly going across it and it felt like my hair was sticking up, not quite goosebumps, but it was very tingly.

I usually just pucker my lips like a fish and start sucking in air till I pass out. Doesn't really matter what I'm eating.
Also, the plastic spoon totally would add to it. You can hear all the little clicks and mouth sounds through the plastic. When I was little I always used to start chewing the spoon apart. That may not make for relaxing sound.

This explains a lot. When I was in class my friend who sat diagonally to me was chewing on a pen and I got so many tingles I think I was getting possessed or something.
I remember one time, I had to write a french test. And for a while there was always an older woman in our class, who would help us, because she was french.

Yup, for some reason this is my second time watching this because it’s so relaxing.The first time after I watched it I woke up in the morning and asked my mom would buy yogurt on her trip to the grocery store.
Your roommate is lucky she got paired up with the one person on the PLANET who would enjoy listening to someone actually eat like this on a regular basis.
But that’s not to say it’s unenjoyable to listen to you do it in this video 💕 very tingly

Ahh, college years.. i used to work while i was in school, i used to get back late to the dorm n' the cafeteria would be closed.. before i got smart, my dinner would be what was in the vending machine.. my four food groups was animal crackers, power bars, ramen, and chips..
