@@Josh-fp2qn The people at the edge of the crowd noticed the gunman on the roof about 4 minutes into the speech and 2 minutes before the first shot. So Trump was already on stage before Crooks was seen on the roof. But the SS had identified that a "threat" was out there somewhere (based on other sightings by security, with a rangefinder and later with a backpack, still pre-roof) about 10 minutes before the shots, that is about 4 minutes before Trump went out. Given that Trump was already an hour behind the nominal time, a few minutes more delay until the threat was located would have been very wise.
That’s funny. I was just thinking about all of the weird things that have happened lately. I was just singing this tune. I’m not sure about anything anymore. Covid was weird. The vaccines were even weirder. The Maui fires were extremely odd, and still no explanation. Now this. But they all have one common denominator. Law enforcement, SS, and the medical field failed us. The comment from the secret service director that the roof being sloped was a safety concern is absolutely ridiculous. With these types of comments, I can't blame anyone who thinks this was deliberate and allowed to happen.
I think that was more a lame CYA attempt. My guess is that Cheatle had not actually viewed the photos or video at the time and was just reaching for some excuse to take some of the heat off herself and the service (which she might have imagined plausible if she not yet seen the photos). I do not think it likely that a conspiracy planning in advance would have come up with such a lame excuse which attracts rather than deflecting critical attention. Such a conspiracy would have known how ridiculous it was - and that it would stimulate suspicions. Incompetence and CYA behavior is more common than conspiracies.

I was born in the USA in Montana. I have lived my entire life since the age of 2 in Canada. I like to keep up with the happenings in the USA as I believe it is the greatest and most influential country in the world. That being said I am neither a Democrat, nor Republican. Neither Liberal or Conservative. I believe both sides, left and right have stances that benefit and hurt the people they represent. That being said as a completely neutral entity and a person that believes in common sense, love and the truth, I can’t wrap my head around what is going on right now. I can’t definitively say either side is to blame, but one thing is for certain. There is absolutely 100% something more at play here than a lone 20yr old gunman waltzing onto a building past countless agents and security measures to take a shot at one of the most popular and controversial human beings in the world. If you like Trump or not doesn’t matter, the fact that someone could even get close to taking a shot at him is a huge indication that something bigger is at play and should arise serious questions from both sides of the spectrum. Like I said before, I can’t confidently say what side this comes from. All I can say is that if you believe the media that this was a simple lone gun man scenario, we have obviously learned nothing from previous assassinations and attempts in history. Which mean we are no better off as a species than when the JFK assassination took place and that’s alarming. As humans we are taught to ask question and learn from said questions. We are doomed as a whole society when we can’t get to the actual truth and facts of something regardless of difference in opinion and stance on politics.

He was on the watchlist three weeks before following trumpet rallies and looking suspicious. Once he was spotted at the rally with those binocular things, they lost him. The next time he was spotted, he had gotten to the backside of the building was coming through the woods carrying a ladder and the rifle, and got up on the roof. The crowd told the cop was there. The cop climbed the ladder was told to get down. Took a picture of the sniper. Sent it to the Secret Service. Three minutes before the shot was fired. Why didn’t they get Trump off the stage? It seems pretty guilty to me.
With respect, many people do such things in situations of extreme trauma...I only know this, because I was a Police Officer for 30yrs, and have seen the strangest of behaviour...Ask any First Responder, or Military....It just happens that way....
I was watching the rally live as it happened. They kept Trump on the stage way too long. I kept saying to myself get him the hell out of there. When they did go to move Trump they let the shortest person at his side with his head sticking above her while she bent down. What a shit sandwhich operation.

An interesting point was made that before Cheatle, hire 30% more women, and the heavy DEI hiring she's been doing, the rules for presidential protection were very clear. 6 ft 4 inch tall, ( goals was to be 4 inches taller than the president), and shoulder chest widths that exceeded the presidents, so that when standing in a huddle around him, he disappears. Now bun lacy stayed bent over on his chest but left his head and next exposed. During transit, her height was the shortest. Those holding his car available were 5 3 no desk with pony tails bobbing, and 2 on camera couldn't reholster their guns as they headed to their own car to follow trumps. NOT seasoned agents!

Okay, as a retired EOD tech we back in the day were loaned out to USSS to search areas before protectee arrived and had to stay during the duration of the protectee stay. I worked events including Reagan, Gore, Bush, Hillary, Bill, Pope, and events including Olympics and DNC conventions but for some odd reason not RNC events. I will say that DNC had some wild parties that I got to participate on my off time. Every time I was involved in the protection detail they had an agent of some sort either uniform or suit on every roof surrounding the event. EVERYTIME. On several occasions we had to identify ourselves to the counter snipers while were searching the rooftops and when that happened we knew we were in their scope, kind of scary. On one occasion for Bill my team searched under every bridge in OKC. Wow that was daunting and boring. Regardless of slope and oh by they way did you see the counter snipers on a more sloped roof top?? They could have put a manlift next to the building if necessary. On another channel I heard that the permanent detail was detoured for "training" and the crew working this event wasn't as trained as the permanent crew. The guys who jumped on him almost immediately after shots were fired were secret service. They arrived with Trump 15 mins before the rally. Whoever was supposed to secure the perimeter before he got there failed. The guy to the right of Trump in the iconic photo is like his main guy.
FYI: Whistleblowers inside the secret service and department of homeland security have come forward to state that, for whatever reason, there weren't really many, if any actual secret service in the protective detail. Rather, they were homeland security investigators... who aren't trained to handle protection duties like the secret service.
I'm former Navy, I realize that's not Secret Service, but a watch is a watch, if your told to secure this area... your supposed to secure this area, as to my knowledge, the Secret Service should have had people in a 150 yard range so no one could get a shot on the president hopeful or standing president, whoever is doing the speech, so to me either someone failed they're job, or someone was ordered to stand down, and to me that may be a higher ranking gov official, or someone higher up in the Secret Service

When the POTUS came to Germany about 20 years ago, the first lady wanted to go to a museum in Mainz. We live about 15 miles away from the museum. They roped off everything in a 20 mile radius from the museum. I couldn't even go across a bridge to visit a friend during the time that she was at the museum, although we never even saw a car, much less her. The security was so tight that my husband's colleagues who lived out of town had to take a day off from work because they were not allowed to drive into this town. It was insane how hiked up the security was and no one here really gave a care about the POTUS or his wife. It makes no sense that this rally, where political feelings are so massively off the charts, had a serious lacking in security. It really makes the police and the secret service look like a bunch of incompitants. Knowing what I do know about how the security detail worked back when W. Bush was President, it is really no surprise to me that people are now saying that this was a staged event.
From what I have heard, there are different levels of protection (in terms of personnel and equipment assigned). The President and first lady are at the top. Ex presidents are lower down. Major party nominees are fairly high, but before the convention those seeking nomination may not get any protection (if not an ex president). Supposedly, Trump's security team was expanded, including a second SS sniper team, a couple of weeks earlier, due to a concern about an Iranian plot. And I think it has expanded further still since then, both because he is not the official nominee and because of this incident. I'm not sure if by "staged event" you mean a set-up and inside job (as suspected by Trump lovers), or a bogus incident staged with crisis actors but no actual threat to Trump (as suspected by Trump haters). There are conspiracy theories on all sides now. And the security lapses in this case give them fertile soil (one might even turn out to hold water).
Dude, I remember that time. I lived in Stralsund back then which Bush also visited. My street was right in the red zone and I wasn't even allowed to open a frickin window. There were security personnel everywhere, the entire old town was basically locked down. The amount of police that had been deployed for this event was in the thousands, in a town of 60k people. It was ridiculous.
Driving into work, I was baffled, wondering why SO MANY MILES of a major highway was completely blocked off going the opposite direction. Had never seen such a sight before and our city is quite large, with hundreds of thousands needing that specific road to get to and from work and so on. Turns out, current VP was in town to talk about climate change. Blew my mind how many resources and police were used just to get her here.
I was stationed in NY when President Clinton was being driven to the airport. We, military members, weren't even allowed to step outside the ferry terminal when SS was driving him through. They shut down entire blocks in NYC to clear the path! The Secret Service actually has a history of screwing up. Under Obama, some guy took shots at the White House and the Secret Service didn't realize it had happened for four days. They also let one of the Real Housewives crash a state dinner in 2009, let someone throw shoes at Bush, didn't react when someone landed a stolen helicopter on the South Lawn under Nixon, and failed to notice a guy in FDR's private booth at a movie theatre until the movie FDR was watching ended. Fortunately for the presidents they were guarding, no harm came out of these incidents. Kennedy wasn't as lucky when his Secret Service screwed up.

In the news coverage I saw very shortly after the event, a reporter explained that the agents covered him with their bodies and didn't move (or let him move) until they got the "shooter down" message in their headsets. Only then did they get him up and off the stage. Though this doesn't explain the break in protocol, allowing him out of cover for his fist pumps when there could have been another shooter.
That picture was selected as the best out of the hundreds that the photographers were taking. Watch the photogs in the videos - going up to the stage and clicking away wildly. The news service was not a Trump fan.
And what about the ladder? He apparently bought a 5' ladder from Home Depot and walked, with a backpack, the 1 mile or so from the store, then magically materialized a 12' ladder that was used to scale the building and get into position. What about the video of the person on the water tower? What about the fact that no one was posted on the water tower? Why was Trump allowed to go onto stage when a credible threat had been ascertained and then lost? Why was Trump allowed to stay on stage when police and SS KNEW of active threats for 20 minutes, 40 min??? before? Who was that woman psychotically smirking and filming behind Trump, moments before he got shot and whether she's AD DiGuiseppi or not, what sort of SANE person doesn't even flinch when bullets are ripping through the crowd then ducks down just long enough to start filming? Do we actually have the ballistics report from the AR15 Crooks purportedly used? How many rounds were fired? If the bullets have different audio signatures, were the bullets recovered from the scene actually a match for THAT rifle, or was there a second, or third shooter? How does a 20 year old with almost no "life" before this incident manage to take a shot like this--clustered rounds, several in rapid succession? Why was he in a BlackRock video beforehand? The police that the Secret Service put in charge of that building called them two days before and said they did not have the manpower to secure that building that roof. So they gave it back to the Secret Service because they were unable to do the job.

Be careful when the feds defer blame to "local law enforcement" because that's beyond absurd. "Local law enforcement" could be 50,000 like NYPD or LAPD, but the majority of the smaller places have such minimal police coverage. They simply don't need it. I was a volunteer firefighter/EMT in a small town, then got hired to work in my local 911 center as a police dispatcher and fire/ems dispatcher. the town I volunteered in, there was one police officer for the whole town. His/Her closest backup was 25 minutes away. The feds are COMPLETELY aware that they cannot count on 'local law enforcement' to be able to provide that level of protection. One event DHS, Justice Dept., and NYC dogs swept the area and building. Another event the whole area was locked down, the building was closed except to those with Secret Service clearance. Granted both of these events were indoors but security was tighter.

OMG! This just solidifies that I think this was a set-up. Not sure who behind it because both parties stood to gain depending on how it’s skewed. There are checks and minuses on both sides for me. So this goes to Trump's campaign of not paying their extra police protection for Trump's protection. Trump needs to pay his own campaigning funds instead of at tax payers expense. We don't need the medical records, though they would help. We have multiple very high resolution photos of his "wound" after the fact. He wasn't shot, he MIGHT have been struck by debris from the teleprompter getting hit and splintering, but his ear lacks the signs of a bullet graze as they're trying to claim. Hell, his ear lacks the signs of any actual wound, aside from the blood.

It was a very gentle slope. The SS agents and officers themselves obviously didn't have a problem with the slope - they had two sniper teams on rather steeper roofs. But the SS had identified that a "threat" was out there somewhere (based on other sightings by security, with a rangefinder and later with a backpack, still pre-roof) about 10 minutes before the shots, that is about 4 minutes before Trump went out. Given that Trump was already an hour behind the nominal time, a few minutes more delay until the threat was located would have been very wise.

I was born in the USA in Montana. I have lived my entire life since the age of 2 in Canada. I like to keep up with the happenings in the USA as I believe it is the greatest and most influential country in the world. That being said I am neither a Democrat, nor Republican. Neither Liberal or Conservative. I believe both sides, left and right have stances that benefit and hurt the people they represent. That being said as a completely neutral entity and a person that believes in common sense, love and the truth, I can’t wrap my head around what is going on right now.
I can’t definitively say either side is to blame, but one thing is for certain. There is absolutely 100% something more at play here than a lone 20yr old gunman waltzing onto a building past countless agents and security measures to take a shot at one of the most popular and controversial human beings in the world. If you like Trump or not doesn’t matter, the fact that someone could even get close to taking a shot at him is a huge indication that something bigger is at play and should arise serious questions from both sides of the spectrum.
Like I said before, I can’t confidently say what side this comes from. All I can say is that if you believe the media that this was a simple lone gun man scenario, we have obviously learned nothing from previous assassinations and attempts in history. Which mean we are no better off as a species than when the JFK assassination took place and that’s alarming. As humans we are taught to ask question and learn from said questions. We are doomed as a whole society when we can’t get to the actual truth and facts of something regardless of difference in opinion and stance on politics.
There is no "left" in the U.S. for all practical considerations. If you think that the Democratic party is left, you are mistaken. Both parties are right of center and moving further right with each election cycle.

He was on the watchlist three weeks before following trumpet rallies and looking suspicious. Once he was spotted at the rally with those binocular things, they lost him. The next time he was spotted, he had gotten to the backside of the building was coming through the woods carrying a ladder and the rifle, and got up on the roof. The crowd told the cop was there. The cop climbed the ladder was told to get down. Took a picture of the sniper. Sent it to the Secret Service. Three minutes before the shot was fired. Why didn’t they get Trump off the stage? It seems pretty guilty to me.

I was watching the rally live as it happened. They kept Trump on the stage way too long. I kept saying to myself get him the hell out of there. When they did go to move Trump they let the shortest person at his side with his head sticking above her while she bent down. What a shit sandwhich operation.
It's as though he wanted to be seen. As his security went to move him he said 'wait wait wait', and then went to raise his fist and the 'fight fight'. That is what makes me so uneasy that it is staged.

Okay, as a retired EOD tech we back in the day were loaned out to USSS to search areas before protectee arrived and had to stay during the duration of the protectee stay. I worked events including Reagan, Gore, Bush, Hillary, Bill, Pope, and events including Olympics and DNC conventions but for some odd reason not RNC events. I will say that DNC had some wild parties that I got to participate on my off time.
Every time I was involved in the protection detail they had an agent of some sort either uniform or suit on every roof surrounding the event. EVERYTIME. On several occasions we had to identify ourselves to the counter snipers while were searching the rooftops and when that happened we knew we were in their scope, kind of scary.
On one occasion for Bill my team searched under every bridge in OKC. Wow that was daunting and boring.
Regardless of slope and oh by they way did you see the counter snipers on a more sloped roof top?? They could have put a manlift next to the building if necessary. On another channel I heard that the permanent detail was detoured for "training" and the crew working this event wasn't as trained as the permanent crew. I'm former Navy, I realize that's not Secret Service, but a watch is a watch, if your told to secure this area... your supposed to secure this area, as to my knowledge, the Secret Service should have had people in a 150 yard range so no one could get a shot on the president hopeful or standing president, whoever is doing the speech, so to me either someone failed they're job, or someone was ordered to stand down, and to me that may be a higher ranking gov official, or someone higher up in the Secret Service

When the POTUS came to Germany about 20 years ago, the first lady wanted to go to a museum in Mainz. We live about 15 miles away from the museum. They roped off everything in a 20 mile radius from the museum. I couldn't even go across a bridge to visit a friend during the time that she was at the museum, although we never even saw a car, much less her. The security was so tight that my husband's colleagues who lived out of town had to take a day off from work because they were not allowed to drive into this town. It was insane how hiked up the security was and no one here really gave a care about the POTUS or his wife. It makes no sense that this rally, where political feelings are so massively off the charts, had a serious lacking in security. It really makes the police and the secret service look like a bunch of incompitants. Knowing what I do know about how the security detail worked back when W. Bush was President, it is really no surprise to me that people are now saying that this was a staged event.
From what I have heard, there are different levels of protection (in terms of personnel and equipment assigned). The President and first lady are at the top. Ex presidents are lower down. Major party nominees are fairly high, but before the convention those seeking nomination may not get any protection (if not an ex president). Supposedly, Trump's security team was expanded, including a second SS sniper team, a couple of weeks earlier, due to a concern about an Iranian plot. And I think it has expanded further still since then, both because he is not the official nominee and because of this incident.
I'm not sure if by "staged event" you mean a set-up and inside job (as suspected by Trump lovers), or a bogus incident staged with crisis actors but no actual threat to Trump (as suspected by Trump haters). There are conspiracy theories on all sides now. And the security lapses in this case give them fertile soil (one might even turn out to hold water).
Dude, I remember that time. I lived in Stralsund back then which Bush also visited. My street was right in the red zone and I wasn't even allowed to open a frickin window. There were security personnel everywhere, the entire old town was basically locked down. The amount of police that had been deployed for this event was in the thousands, in a town of 60k people. It was ridiculous.
Driving into work, I was baffled, wondering why SO MANY MILES of a major highway was completely blocked off going the opposite direction.
Had never seen such a sight before and our city is quite large, with hundreds of thousands needing that specific road to get to and from work and so on.
Turns out, current VP was in town to talk about climate change.
Blew my mind how many resources and police were used just to get her here.
I was stationed in NY when President Clinton was being driven to the airport. We, military members, weren't even allowed to step outside the ferry terminal when SS was driving him through. They shut down entire blocks in NYC to clear the path! I know the security is lesser for someone who is not a sitting POTUS, but the photos show they were dealing with just a handful of buildings in this particular area. Nothing even close to Manhattan.🤔

The Secret Service actually has a history of screwing up. Under Obama, some guy took shots at the White House and the Secret Service didn't realize it had happened for four days. They also let one of the Real Housewives crash a state dinner in 2009, let someone throw shoes at Bush, didn't react when someone landed a stolen helicopter on the South Lawn under Nixon, and failed to notice a guy in FDR's private booth at a movie theatre until the movie FDR was watching ended. Fortunately for the presidents they were guarding, no harm came out of these incidents.

In the news coverage I saw very shortly after the event, a reporter explained that the agents covered him with their bodies and didn't move (or let him move) until they got the "shooter down" message in their headsets. Only then did they get him up and off the stage. Though this doesn't explain the break in protocol, allowing him out of cover for his fist pumps when there could have been another shooter.
It's crazy how perfect the pictures were right after. Under the American flag and everything.
That picture was selected as the best out of the hundreds that the photographers were taking. Watch the photogs in the videos - going up to the stage and clicking away wildly. The news service was not a Trump fan.
And what about the ladder? He apparently bought a 5' ladder from Home Depot and walked, with a backpack, the 1 mile or so from the store, then magically materialized a 12' ladder that was used to scale the building and get into position. What about the video of the person on the water tower? What about the fact that no one was posted on the water tower? Why was Trump allowed to go onto stage when a credible threat had been ascertained and then lost? Why was Trump allowed to stay on stage when police and SS KNEW of active threats for 20 minutes, 40 min??? before? Who was that woman psychotically smirking and filming behind Trump, moments before he got shot and whether she's AD DiGuiseppi or not, what sort of SANE person doesn't even flinch when bullets are ripping through the crowd then ducks down just long enough to start filming? Do we actually have the ballistics report from the AR15 Crooks purportedly used? How many rounds were fired? If the bullets have different audio signatures, were the bullets recovered from the scene actually a match for THAT rifle, or was there a second, or third shooter? How does a 20 year old with almost no "life" before this incident manage to take a shot like this--clustered rounds, several in rapid succession? Why was he in a BlackRock video beforehand? Be careful when the feds defer blame to "local law enforcement" because that's beyond absurd. "Local law enforcement" could be 50,000 like NYPD or LAPD, but the majority of the smaller places have such minimal police coverage. They simply don't need it. I was a volunteer firefighter/EMT in a small town, then got hired to work in my local 911 center as a police dispatcher and fire/ems dispatcher. the town I volunteered in, there was one police officer for the whole town. His/Her closest backup was 25 minutes away. The feds are COMPLETELY aware that they cannot count on 'local law enforcement' to be able to provide that level of protection. ANY first responder could tell you that and I'd think they'd completely agree 100%. I am absolutely not willing to accept "we rely on local law enforcement" from the United States Secret Service. And to the local DA and all the local LEOs & State troopers... You DO NOT have to accept that answer either! Please DO NOT let them push blame to you... they're trying to sway public opinion to blame YOU!!!

Why were there 2 female agents who were too small assigned to protect Trump!? One of which was an out of shape department of home land security investigator. They are both much too small to be a sheild to Presidenr Trump. Also they seem very panicked during the whole situation. You can even here one of the female agents saying "what are we doing?". So if Crooks stashed the weapon before the rally why was the area not swept with dogs before Trump arrived. I've worked high profile events where Secret Service and DHS were needed for security. One event DHS, Justice Dept., and NYC dogs swept the area and building. Another event the whole area was locked down, the building was closed except to those with Secret Service clearance. Granted both of these events were indoors but security was tighter.

OMG! This just solidifies that I think this was a set-up. Not sure who behind it because both parties stood to gain depending on how it’s skewed. There are checks and minuses on both sides for me. Now you have some cities that are suing the Trump campaign to pay up passed due funds that was used for Trump's campaign. So this goes to Trump's campaign of not paying their extra police protection for Trump's protection. The SS can only do so much and these low budget cities where the rallies are held at need help from surrounding cities but they don't want to be holding the empty taxpayers funds bag. Trump needs to pay his own campaigning funds instead of at tax payers expense. So in reality this assassination attempt was really Trump's election crew's fault not wanting to spend money to protect Trump. The cities already know his not paying cities grift. …if you look at the most clearest picture after he was supposedly striked, you will note that the supposed blood splatter is moved forward of his ear and the rear/back area of the ear seems fairly clean and un-blemished with no splatter in the area where the blood should be as the rounds move back away from his supposed injured area!! Almost as he himself might of squeezed a small item when he first crouched down and had something in his hand to presume the aftermath of the presumed attack. If you know about weapons and injuries alike, this looks more like BS than anything else, plus he also had ample time to do anything with a small pause noted in the presumed attack video at the podium while down by it. We don't need the medical records, though they would help. We have multiple very high resolution photos of his "wound" after the fact. He wasn't shot, he MIGHT have been struck by debris from the teleprompter getting hit and splintering, but his ear lacks the signs of a bullet graze as they're trying to claim. Hell, his ear lacks the signs of any actual wound, aside from the blood.

It was a very gentle slope. Director Cheatle was doing a bad job of coming up with a CYA excuse - one so bad that it attracted attention and suspicion rather than deflecting it, as absolutely nobody bought it and therefore she looks incompetent at best.
The SS agents and officers themselves obviously didn't have a problem with the slope - they had two sniper teams on rather steeper roofs. Cheatle must not have even looked at photos and videos at the time she came up with that doozy.
