@@shawnburgess9870 that is true I think they didn't expand anymore after she had a boy and that's y I like the Prue season better because there powers expanded and grew more over time with Prue gone It took there powers longer to grow Piper was suppose to get a new power to Melt molecules expanding her explosion power but her freezing power expanding would been great for the show I wish they could just come back and redo season 4 with Prue never being killed off with the Orginal power of three because I know rose McGowan probably don't wanna do it because her and Alyssa don't like each other in real life

For the show piper had learned to controlher freezing ability really well by the final season. I think there were still two more years for her powers to advance based on the comics and not the series. I am sure though, as a mother of three and the eldest sister and a witch who finally came to terms with her life, in two years she would have been able to develop her powers for the sake of protecting the ones she loved.

The prophecy only mentioned Prue Piper and Phoebe, Paige was never mentioned nor was the prophecy meant to transfer to her. Because of this, it tore Prue apart in the afterlife. When Prue came back to life, all of their powers grew at double the speed. By this point in the comic, Piper can freeze natural environments such as rain. So she was getting closer and closer to freezing the town like that. On a side note because Prue and Paige have similar powers; when they touched, it caused all their powers to grow at extreme levels, Phoebe could now fly and go from one town to the next in the blink of an eye, and Piper could freeze the whole world (even though it was uncontrollable, I still think it could develop to this point).
Given that in one season she went from struggling to freeze one person to an entire restaurant, it's safe to assume she can freeze an entire street in the years after S8
I love how in each season her freeze power grows, in season one she had a limit on how long she could freeze someone, until season 8 she could freeze for however long she wanted.

I hated that later seasons (5-8) Piper basically became Power of One, as most demon fights would just end with Piper exploding them anti climatically, making her a Deus Ex Machina. In turn her freezing power became barely used in Season 5 onward. I personally liked the freezing power more.
While I love/hate this show, the story of that doctor guy with the monkey had me messed up. I was young, learning morals, and was distraught that he could not be saved.
