In all my life of flying I’ll never know how…HOW people sitting and waiting at the gate are capable of not noticing that everyone around them is boarding the plane.
Not possible but then again some people(heads down looking at cell phones) are so ignorant they walk into freight trains at crossings now.
I doubt she was at the gate the entire time.
@@Maisygirl1974 only in her mind was she "there" the whole time.
@@jaimhaas5170 - So very true.
Because they're not sitting at the gate waiting but admitting that would be admitting they messed up.
My sister who is deaf, has traveled by herself many times. She checks in at the gate, writes a note to the person sitting next to her and asks if they’re going to the same destination. When they get up to board,so does she. It’s not that hard folks.
Unfortunately this lady is deaf AND dumb
Its when people have commpassion for their fellow human beings.
Now that’s so very very smart and such self confidence!!
I agree with you. The only reason I feel a litty, bitty, tiny sorry for her is that it's her first time flying .... so she says.
Thank you! Consummate traveler here, and I just love the dose of reality just thrown into the comments!!! It's not that Bloody hard people! Stop trying to pretend that it's everyone else's issue when you simply are not aware of your surroundings!
Imagine living in a world where you think every employee at an airport knows the names of every passenger. I couldn't imagine walking around with this much lack of self awareness.
I'm an airline pilot. I got in from somewhere and walked off my airplane to get the paperwork for our next flight from DFW to Cedar Rapids, IA. When I got to the gate counter, a few passengers walked up to me (the pilot), asking about their flight (also to Cedar Rapids), but it was delayed at another gate. I started to get mobbed by a bunch of these passengers and they started getting mad at me (again, the pilot) for not knowing their specific passenger details of a flight on their schedule that I wasn't working. I know about the flight I'm working, but the pilot isn't privy to specific passenger details.
The sense of entitlement was astounding. I feel bad about their delay/cancelled flight, but yelling at someone who has nothing to do with your flight and simply has no access to said information was a little much.
Lol very strange indeed
Wow ! A pilot?? These people are a new level of stupid🤣🤣 Thank you for getting us around safely 💕💕
@@erauprcwa Thanks for getting people safely to there destinations.
@@death2boredom338
I think that getting people safely to their destinations is the least we should expect from a pilot 😀👍
Steve deserves a raise after dealing with that situation. He stayed calm and professional during that whole situation. And I really like how he continue to handle her one on one.
What a flake. SHE doesn't listen for the boarding call, SHE misses the plane and then blames the staff. SHE gets herself worked up, nearly misses the second plane and still blames the staff.
Funny that all the other passengers made the flight.
If she was there as she says then she watched 137 people file right past her boarding the airplane she was to fly on. Most people would take that as a hint.
Maybe she wanted a free something, upgrade,vouchers....something.
"I sat right there." Then you should have noticed the other 137 people who were also right there and had no problem going thru the door and boarding the flight.
She probably wanted an escort or something lol
My blood pressure goes up when I have to go to the doctor.
She was probably asleep. LOL
"who should I be angry with then?"
Oh my god! YOURSELF GIRL! MAD AT YOURSELF!
Also I love that she almost prevented herself from getting on the flight because she was lying about her blood pressure lmao!
That’s what she gets!
It would have been golden if she was told that because of her BP she couldn't be allowed on that next flight. "Sorry. We can't provide you with necessary medical treatment if your BP problem gets worse or causes other problems."
Tell it, sister!
Mind boggling…
A moron but typical behavior. The victim mentality
As a Gate Agent for United Airlines for 20 years, I was never yelled at personally. I called ppls names. If the flight is delayed then stay in the boarding area. If you’re on standby, stay in the boarding area.
If she saw everyone else get up to board, why didn’t she? Obviously not paying attention….
And when the agent always says "200 other people managed to board," the point continues to escape them
She thinks she’s special and should have been given a special invite to board
@@judethaddeus9856 she was waiting for the red carpet.
She probably was on TikTok !!!!
0:42 whining she missed the plane when 137 other people were paying attention and now on to their destination, hmm "Karen" alert
I truly can't imagine putting up with those People, much less having to be nice to them in the process.. They are NOT paying their employees enough.
It’s people like this that made me quit working for TWA, and I loved that job.
@@Maisygirl1974 can't blame you at all. I see these videos and it makes me so happy I choose American Express over United airlines.
It was Customers who had that "Do you know who I am? Do you know how much POWER I have over you?" That caused me to quit my "Job" at a Call Center. It got to the point I'd be in TEARS every morning I had to work, shaking when that phone made its ding.
I had one Customer who was being a real Jerk and I said "No, I don't and I don't get paid enough to be treated like Garbage like this.". A lot of my Co workers had mental break downs, etc. I refused to let them do that to me. And we didn't have awesome people such as Yolanda and Colleen to help Us.
@@LeslieToronto1971 very sorry to hear that, what a miserable working existance for you.
@@LeslieToronto1971 I would have been fired the first time I responded with "Security please come to Gate 3 - we have an individual who doesn't know who he/she is. Bring a gurney and restraint devices."
“I answer when people call me mommy, because that’s what I’m used to hearing. So I know if someone calls Julie LD, I’ll hear it.”
How tf does that make any sense?
She thought that dragging in her maternal status would gain sympathy.
This is actually the one thing she says that does make sense. If you're used to being called a nickname and someone suddenly use your full name, it gets your full attention because you relate it to something serious happening; like your parents scolding you, being in trouble with your boss or anxiety at the doctors. It's unusual for your name to be used but you know your name by heart so you're more alert to it and thus it catches you off guard.
@@Mitsu92 oh didn’t think about that, you think that’s what she meant?
@@floridasoldat I do, yeah. It doesn't add much to her defense, especially later when she acts quite terrible towards staff, but that is a fair argument to make. And she expressed it rather poorly so I don't think it struck a cord like she might have hoped.
'You think everyone knows everything? This is the first time I've ever flown.' Isn't that all the MORE reason she should be alert to the situation and aware of what's going on around her?? How maddening. Give the staff member a medal for not losing it, and doing what he could to help her despite her abuse.
She is nuts. No one has ever come to me and said. "Okay Stacy you can board now" Lol

AMEN
OH! I love it!!! I’ve never heard this one before but I love this quote & thank you for posting it!!!! Btw sooooo true for miss Julie here!!!✌🏽
A good description of third wave feminism.
This just made my favorite quote list!
@@ekgr212 sooo true soo true! And me too on the list!🙃
When they repeatedly say they don't usually get mad then you know they get mad frequently.
Not always true; I don’t get mad that often, but sometimes I do.
She wants them to come looking for her, personally? LMAO 🤣🤣🤣
Every frame in this clip was a manifestation of her own actions. Each person decides how they react to a situation, and she reacted poorly.
Years ago they switched gates twice and then emailed passengers that they changed gates again.
I didn’t have access to a computer so I didn’t know about it, however a nice gentleman I helped earlier came and found me. He was boarding and told them he didn’t see me and came and got me. What a very nice gentleman.
It’s a trick of the airlines.
Who on the human Earth goes to catch a flight at any airport and doesn't FIXATE on the gate of their flight and the time of boarding.........?!
That guy hitting up the rocking chair @2:57 knows how to airport.
Every time I've flown, I have paid very close attention to what 's going on around me. I've listened closely to announcements and instructions. I've been polite and courteous to everyone. As a result, I have had no problems whatsoever.
Same here! Flying for decades. Never missed a flight. Never caused an issue or problem. Be on time (actually, be early), board when and as instructed, sit in the proper seat, follow all instructions without question, be polite, be quiet. And don't kick the seat in front of you-- yes, I'm talking to you toddlers and other kiddos.
She asked for a medic and then complains at the medic???? Wow!
137 people boarded…sooooo maybe its not the airlines fault. Crazy huh 🤷🏾♀️
And those 137 people boarded RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. They were also the people sitting around her. LOL
The audacity of some customers is crazy.
“Didn’t come to look for me?” 🙂🤣🤪
Again, everyone boarded the flight except YOU. It's protocol for every airline to announce final boarding and missing passenger names (who show they already checked in). If you didn't get on the flight, it's YOUR fault, not the airline's.
I'm a very anxious person, so I'm at the airport and sitting on the floor, at my gate, 3 to 3 1/2 hours before my flight, because that's the best way I can get my brain to shut up about what could happen to get me to miss my flight (This has also worked out to my advantage on occasion, where I've been bumped up to an earlier flight without even requesting to be bumped up). I can't remember a time when a gate agent hasn't asked me what flight am I waiting for, when I'm just sitting there, after they boarded a flight. It's quite foolproof, as long as you're actually physically there.
@@Torch82 Thing is many airline personnel will help any and every passenger out if they can. However, the Golden Rule to making that happen is... BEING NICE TO ONE ANOTHER.
Some people haven't seemed to grasp that concept.
I remember once that I somehow ended up at the wrong gate for a connecting flight to Chicago. Same airline, same destination, departure times roughly fifteen minutes apart, and about half the passengers from the first flight also connecting to Chicago, so I followed the crowd, but I ended up in the wrong place. By the time they were boarding the flight I thought was mine, the one that was actually mine was getting ready to depart. I had to race halfway across the airport, hearing my name being called over the PA system the whole time. When I got where I was actually supposed to be, I was assured that they weren't going to leave without me. I guess the agents from the first gate called them to let them know what the hold-up was and that I was on my way... ^_^;
Bahahahahaaa, I love that she admitted she’s evil. Self-awareness is key, people! 😂
More stupid than evil I think.
Something "Madea" would say. LMBO
"I'm too evil to die, only the good die young!" I love her!
She’ll live to a hundred and fifty
You love her after seeing the way she conducts herself when something doesn't go her way through her own fault? You'd be about the only one who does.
She will live long and bring a lot of misery to a lot of people. That is what "evil" people do.
She's right. They never said "Her Name".
xD
How did she not notice everybody going on the plane if she was sitting right near the gate. I personally believe she wandered off and thought she had more time.
@@tomwilliam5118 Agreed.
And you know this how?
I guess you were there?
She doesn't curse or get angry, she says, as she curses angrily.
The level of entitlement....we see this all the time in the medical field also. People don't want to take accountability and it's insane. I've found myself having less and less patience with these idiots
Couldn't agree with you more
Responsibility is the kryptonite for people like her.
Or logic
Proof that aren covers all races and genders
123 other people didn't have a problem. What did they do that you didn't do causing you to miss your flight?
137 people boarded but i didnt get on the plane so its the airlines fault. she also said this is the first time she's flown and she doesnt know. Well ask questions then if you're not sure, dopey. Ranting and raving at the guy on the counter gets you nowhere
Does not matter if it is your first time flying. You know your gate number, you know the time your flight leaves and what city you are going to . How hard is that? She just refused to help herself.
It’s never their fault! There are people who will always blame someone else. I love how she is on her deathbed all of a sudden but if she had a seat she would be fine! Hysterical
Calling for a nurse was a power-over move, but it nearly backfired, as those often do. The airline could easily have banned her from the flight for being at medical risk. She rolled the dice and she won, but what did she gain from that victory?
She gained a flight she had no right to be on. And she probably won't hesitate to use the gambit again.
@@mehitabel1290 She did...and next time, she might not be so lucky.
It’s called a « power move », not a « power over » move

These people want someone to hold their hand. Expect someone to know who they are and actually come over to them to say ‘hey, you’re flight’s been called. Here, I’ll escort you onto the plane’. Keep your ears open, keep your eyes on the monitors and be responsible for yourself ffs. Every other person managed to get onto the flight. Imagine living with her
you are hilarious
This woman is out of control! How are you sitting at your gate and you see others boarding and you still miss your flight! They don't usually tap you to make sure you are on the plane!
Woman, you brought this all on yourself. Be a grown up.
If she was a 2 year old they would have gotten her on the plane but she’s an adult. Nobody’s fault but her own.
Why should they call her name? They call the passengers, that’s it. If you are there on time no problem. Pay attention lady.
I havn't flowen in ages, but, what I can remember is that, the airlines have never called my name, they just anounce that flight # so and so is now boarding, and the gate #.
Generally speaking they will only call names of standby passengers or those who have checked in but haven't boarded yet if the flight is about to close.
Woman claiming she did not hear boarding call...and that the airline should have come looking for her? Really? Is she an adult? There comes a time when an adult has to take responsibility for themselves especially if she has a travel deadline.
If she is so clueless that she does not know how to get on a plane then maybe she shouldn't be traveling at all.
She’s is ready to blame and curse and put down anybody who is in her way, then when they are all bullied into capitulating to her ignorance, THEN she wants to be friends. What a screwed-up lady.
She's my definition of a "shrew"
They always want to be friends…..when they get their way.
Not the airlines job to hold your hand. Awful woman
Yup, there are entitled, garbage people in the world. Everything's everyone else's fault.
It was her responsibility to listen to the announcements.
'Who should I be mad at?' Yourself for missing your plane.
I used to be a gate agent and I remember one karen who missed the flight and I was the one to blame because I never called her on her cellphone 😂😂
"Whoa, what's that line of passengers doing going through MY gate? Ah, I'll just sit tight until they call me!"
2:57 Where TF did he get a rocking chair?! & he's just casually vaping in the terminal. lol
Before retiring I flew twice a week, on average. Mistakes happen, flights get rescheduled, announces get missed, people miss flight. It's normal. Don't make a big deal about it.
anyone who repeatedly says "I never get angry" gets angry a lot
People can't take responsibility for their errors...gotta blame someone else because they think they should be treated like a kindergarten kid. But, but you didn't say my name, blah, blah....
Boy she is RUDE! She wasn’t paying attention. They aren’t going “to come look for you” lady!!
So 135 people get on the plane without any issue but she screws it up and it's the agents fault? Really? She's a liar
This is why you frequently check FlightAware or the monitors when you leave the gate. If you don't have a clue how to do that, stay at the gate and pay attention.
I flew for the first time in 20 years and I made sure that I got to the airport on time and stayed close to the gate in case the flight was delayed or on time. I even printed out my tickets just in case my phone wasn't working. She's just lazy.
I stay near the gate and LISTEN! WHY should they call her personally!! What 😳 a job!!
She saw her plane being boarded and she wait for HER NAME to be call? !
1:20 "i answer when people call me mommy" i mean that kinda gives away who did the oopsie
What an entitled brat. She wasn’t paying attention and if it’s their fault. Did she not see the line up of people boarding? She wasn’t there and she’s making excuses and playing games.
When I'm in an airport, I want people to tell me where to go all the time
She is unbelievable. This woman is just entitled af.
I hate airports and banks
Like he only had one customer. I’m in charge of myself. I don’t depend on an employee that has hundreds of people
I actually understood this message because I’m very nosy an concerned.🙆🏽♂️
Exactly! It’s not enough to have the gate number on an enormous sign above the gate!!
Her blood pressure was too high to fly. She was in a hypertensive emergency and should have been in the ER.
Don't you hope that some of these people in these clips come read the comments on these videos to learn what others think of their behaviors? LOL
If a 137 got on the plane, this suggests she wasn't paying attention. Almost talked herself off the flight.
Know how many lines I’ve been in today?
Yes, same as everyone else.
She is a little old to need a babysitter. If 150 people boarded in front of you, at your gate, get a clue. If this is the first time you've flown you should be extra vigilant.
Just a minute, whose responsibility is it to know when your flight boards? SHE missed HER flight. Grown a** woman can’t even keep track of her own flight departure.
“I’m too evil to die only the good die young “ that’s so true 😂😂😂 in literally every murdered victims intro their loved ones say “she lit up a room she was so sweet” 😂😂
Airport employees now have to find passengers that don’t board the same time as others? She didn’t see the other 130 people get up to board the flight? What good is checking her blood pressure? This isn’t an excuse to miss your flight.
This lady literally said if she was a child or needed a wheelchair someone would’ve helped her?? Yeah no kidding lady! What a piece of work.
I think she fell asleep and missed the flight; woke up and mad at everybody else!
And the winner of the Oscar is ....Ms. Karen at the airport ! Big drama queen !!!
As an Airlines worker I can say she's lying
I feel bad that you have to deal with these hateful people !!
90% of airline passengers aren’t smart or responsible.
I would get tired of my own voice if I sounded like that😂😂
So amusing that she claimed to know her own name & then felt compelled to prove it via stating it, repeatedly. 🤭
Another drama queen. How do they not see everyone else lining up to board. They want to be spoon fed.
Um. I fly all the time and I never expect my name to be called. I'm at the gate before I need to and I pay attention to announcements. Even I missed the announcements, I certainly keep an eye on my watch and notice when people start getting up to board the plane.
When you are at the gate, the gate number is displayed, the flight number and the city the airplane is flying to is displayed. So when you see people get up and and start lining up to board through the gate, that should be a clue for you to get up and board the airplane also. How can you sit through that and miss the flight and blame the airline?
lol how can you possibly miss the entire boarding announcement process and multiple calls for your name when you're sitting right next to the gate?
He should have gotten on the intercom and screamed *MOMMYYY* until every woman in the building showed up. Problem solved.
If your flight's boarding, maybe shut up and get on it?
She's causing her own stress, blood pressure rising, and her own negligence. You grown and no one is responsible for you making sure you board your flight on time. This lady is just entitled and want to blame someone for her mistakes.
He has so much patience cause I would’ve walked off on her omg so entitled 😕
Ban her from future flights!! She's a troublemaker!!!
I amazes me that people will not, do not take responsibility for their actions.....
Lol why would they come and look for her specifically? 130+ other people opened their ears to hear the boarding call, so sucks to be her.
She’s lying. She has flown before. Just an entitled person she is.
As far as I know they don’t call names, thought they just called the gate and flight .
Omg She thinks she is so special !! Maybe she needs to be a better listener!!! Rude lady!!!
How entitled is she?
Lol 😂 zero awareness .... "I caused all this ... so who can I be angry with"
They clearly paged the wrong name. They should have been calling "Kaaaaaarrrreeeen!"
It's about time people realise it is THEIR responsibility to manage their life. This is not kindergarden!!
OMG.....TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOURSELF😡 I'VE FLOWN ALL OVER THE WORLD FOR 50 YEARS......NEVER EXPECTED ANYONE TO TAKE CARE OF ME BUT ME♥️🇨🇦
