The man was a revolutionary, the father of modern day MMA and there is nothing anecdotal about the great fighters of his time giving him the respect he deserved. So there isn't much documented evidence of his fights, and he didn't compete, but there should no question about the abilities he possessed.

      And, I can't find a bad word said about Lee from the likes of Norris or Louis, only praise. These are the supposed "real fighters" of hs time. I do believe Lee could have hurt Chuck Norris badly in a real fight. We may never know beyond what we already know, or, as Bruce Lee loved to document almost everything fight/training related, perhaps Shannon Lee is sitting on some unreleased information regarding his training with Chuck and will release after his death due to "mutual respect".

THEN... he messed up and lost connecting with his student and he smiled and pulled his head back... and was laughing at himself for messing up.
    So, Bruce could kick your eyes blindfolded basically, although he wasn't perfect at that at the time of shooting that video. I was watching Ipman 4 and it says Ipman passed December 1972, about 7-8 months before his student Bruce. That is sad, but what a legacy Bruce left us.

    I believe that only someone who truly had the physical prowess and knowledge of human motion could keep up with Bruce, maybe a Shaolin Master. Bruce understood these things from being exposed to multiple styles and understanding human anatomy and psychology, where the mind goes the body will follow. He already understood psychology from his time in school and when he learned about anatomy and the most effective ways to attack his opponents mind and body, this put him on a different path. Everything fell into place, unfortunately he died before he could master fighting in all it's forms and he had more to learn about the spiritual mind and its potential. He was but a caterpillar waiting to be a butterfly and seeing the next evolution would have been magical. I hope you reincarnated to continue your path or perhaps another worthy successor continue forward. A True Martial Artist

      I know more about Bruce Lee and Jeet Kune Do than you ever will, but I have no issue admitting that he would have gotten whooped in a real fight...
      ... like when "Judo Gene" Lebell toyed with him on the set of _The Green Hornet_
      You're just delusional, like Ali or Tyson "fans" who claim that they would win a MMA fight against the likes of Fedor or Jon Jones.

    I grew up on and was always mesmerized by this human Bruce Lee.
    If you have never read the book called ("Zen in the Martial Arts", it is a MUST READ) for all Bruce Lee fans. It's a short book that makes you see through others eyes when Lee came to be, and how he was leaps and bounds the best fighter.
    God bless.

    I am a BIG Bruce Lee fan/have been since I was a child of the 70's and 80's. There are I am willing to bet. Other Martial Artists out there, that can Equal Bruce speed. Just because we have never heard of them. Doesn't mean they dont, or have never existed.

      ALOT of people have NEVER heard of a great Mystic name Akhenaton. who restored the oneness of God in ancient Kemet/Egypt. Who was the 33rd Christ. Who far exceed the other Christ in wisdom...SEE, how many people know that? again, just because we have never heard of them. doesn't mean they haven't existed. There were other martial artists that could have matched Bruce/we just never heard of them.

    Thank you for posting the controversy and the hate comes from people believing that they are better than Bruce Lee because of professional fight record but that’s not where Bruce stands out! Bruce stands out by creating his own martial art and highlighting the possibilities in the human body! If you train harder enough you can achieve the speed and energy of Bruce Lee but you will never match where he stands in time because of the advent of the internet. He developed in a vacuum and blossomed in the motion picture golden age.

  • @Inazuma68
    @Inazuma68 Год назад +5

    Totally agree. I had the great honor doing several training sessions with sensei Quai Wong from Wong‘s shorin ryu Karate Toronto when he visited our dojo in Switzerland. He was friends with Bruce Lee and I guess they were equal +/-
    When he showed a move, everything was over before you even could react even tough we were all experienced. On Super8 film you couldn‘t see when he hit because he was too fast for the camera. I believe that level will never ever be matched again because todays fighters don‘t have the passion to go trough such a school. These days all is about muscle mass and brutality.

    • @randallflagg3700
      @randallflagg3700 Год назад

      No, these days are all about cross-training and being well rounded. Having a good base in BJJ, wrestling, and kickboxing is a must these days, plus conditioning of course.
      There's a reason you phony master who was "equal to Bruce Lee" (lmfao) never competed for real, against actual fighters. Neither did Bruce Lee.
      Lee got fcked up when he faced a real Judo monster in "Judo Gene" Lebell, or a wrestler in Francis Lay, who quickly submitted him with a choke.

    Imagine if Bruce Lee had lived and maybe still to this day, he and Chuck Norris was both born in 1940, so he would've been 82 years old. But as good as he was with his lightning speed when he punches and kick, and the strength behind those punch and kicks, just think 10 years later after his death if he was alive, he would've been even more unbelievable with the things he knew. That would've made him 43 years old. And even at that age for men, that would be his top strength and speed like we have never seen before. And yes like the rest of us, as he would've grown older, he wouldn't be as fast and as strong like he would of in his 30s and even 40s. And then someone in today's could have beaten him like no big deal. Even Bruce Lee if he was 82, he would have been a Has Been, still doing ok for an old guy keeping himself fit as much as he can just like old Chuck Norris, for 82 years old, he's not slowing down, at least for some but for a guy in his 80s, most men can't even walk without their cane, or straighten up their back when they stand up. Anyways, just imagine how much greater Bruce Lee would've became if he hadn't died.
    Rest in Peace Bruce Lee, we still miss you and you are still the best there is even in the year, 2023. We Love You.

    I was a Champion Athelete when I was a teenager. Heading for Decathalon an all rounder. At 15 years old my 100 m 11.2 seconds. I began training in Wing Chun I needed a quicker release of force. The system gets you to go slow at first before later you can control the release of force. Actually we all can be lighting fast its built into our subconscious mind. My reaction to a response gets faster and faster by the year practicing Wing Chun. Bruce knew he was a small guy compared to many bigger guys and from his Wing Chun experience he selected his natural quickness to enhance on, speed is just a part of the fighting skill you need control of skill too.
