- Mark Minervini won the US Investing Championship for a second time. He used the same trading strategy as he used when he won in 1997.
The trading concept has been widely used by many of the best traders in the world, its foundation is based on consolidation followed by a breakout.
In this video we look at the theory and application. It's a similar trading strategy to mine and one in which I too will use in the 2023 US Trading Championships.

@@donaldmiller8338 I am being guided by "CLAUDIA TRINIDAD RIVAS" who I found on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her. She has since provided entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care supervision.
@@richardluke Claudia really seem to know her stuff. I found her online-page, read through her resume, educational background, qualifications and it was really impressive. She is a fiduciary who will act in my best interest. So, I booked a session with her.
i'm confident the current market has an equal possibility of making high-value gains or losses, so I'm cautious with my selections; but, I heard that a trader made over $250k in this recession influenced market, and I could really need ideas on how to achieve similar profits.
You’re right! The current market might give opportunities to maximize profit within a short term, but in order to execute such strategy , you must be a skilled practitioner.
Having an investment adviser is the best way to go about the market right now, especially for near retirees I've been in touch with a coach for awhile now mostly cause I lack the depth knowledge and mental fortitude to deal with these recurring market conditions, I netted over $320K during this dip, that made it clear there's more to the market that we average just don't know.

Good stuff. I really am begining to feel like risk management and mindset are the only important things in trading. Techincal analysis helps to give an edge, but if you let your winners run and cut your loosers short, you really don't need to win that often. I used to have a ton of idicators on my chart, and use them as a filter for setups. But now I feel like I can get rid of everything except for moving averages and one momentum indicator - probably MACD or RSI. All those other indicators were just telling me what price was doing, when I could really just see it on the chart. Trading is certainly a journey, and you have to be willing to let your beliefs die along the way.

Trading over several years I just found my setup what works for me... Just to recognize it is similar to this from the old wise traders. Obviously there are coming several concepts together. Everybody sees the same just from another perspective.

Another cracking video! Thank you. Great to point out the similarity between the strategies of great traders. It took a LOT of guts for Mark Minervini to literally put his money where his mouth is and I greatly admired what he did because people would have been all over him if he had failed....but he even took the VERY top place and rubbed it in!!
Clearly you're also taking a similar risk (not as great as Mark, as he'd ALREADY done it, BUT I REALLY hope you do well as I greatly admired the originality, inventiveness and usefulness of your videos. Great explanation with good historical refs. I trade similarly, on the intraday basis though. Still a work in progress. The hard part is to distinguish a real break-out from an up Wyckoff spring followed by a strong downward move. Have you got any insight on that?

Do not enter on Breakout, wait for pullback and then enter on a large bullish candle

contraction phase aka squeeze... what do you use to help determine which way it will inevitably fire? We've all seen these patterns and many times the higher lows, low volume etc where the price DROPS instead of going up when it reaches the "corner" of the flag pattern

All of the examples were illustrated to indicate behavior during an uptrend. Is the same analysis technique used to go short in a downtrend? Or does the trader sit the downtrends out?
would be dependent on market environment. now would be fine, but there are also other things you need to consider when going short (divvy risk, borrow rates, locate fee, etc.)
bear market rallies are also alot more "violent" than your normal uptrend, low vol environment we experienced 2020-21 so you must exercise even more caution.
You make a great point - this is definitely a bull bull market strategy IMO.

Hello.....I have been following your channel for long time.....I also started to trade using your strategy....and it works.....the only problem that I am facing is to take huge position in small cap company during breakout.....i end up paying huge slippage due to High momentum.....if I put limit order ....most of the time it won't come to my price due to buying pressure....
Can you provide a solution how to take a huge position in small cap without slippage (without increasing average price) during breakout????
Man most of the small caps are fakeout
1) don't trade illiquid crap

this is the best way to make a lot of money on trading. there are a lot of great strategies, but this one is the best, if you ask me)

People always say buy high and sell low. I say that's bad advice, I'd change it to say buy on new highs and sell on new lows.
