If you want photo albums with dynamic descriptions showing up on each photo, then select the photo in the photo album, add the description in the description field. Then within the tabs Panoramas/Videos/360Videos you can add an action to open Info Window Popup.

I had a weird issue: when I opened my photo album, it worked fine. when i open it again: no pictures shown...tried a lot, but your video helped: with linking the photo album viewer top eopen the album in the skin it then worked every time. stunning! Lots of thx!
You can add a photo as a floorplan and get zoom with that. If you need ultra zoom, you'll need to use external tools and embed that external tool in vista.
Thank you for the video. As far as I know, there are 2 ways of using photo albums. 1 Is to load it using what you show in the video, with a photoalbum viewer. And the other way is using the "popup media" action on hotspot/text. Using this second way is "easier" but I can't find the way to modify some design settings (arrows, close button, etc). Do you know if there's a way to change this? Or the best route is just to go manual using method 1. Thanks!
Nice. Question, why we cannot see the photo in full resolution? At 100% setting it only fills up the screen, so depending where we are watching a tour the size is limited to screen size, we don't have an option to see original resolution. I don't know if there is a work around.

Okay, Ronald, How can I remove the "duration" from my photos in the album? I don't want them to advance automatically. I've looked everywhere and can't find an answer.
I thought let's just fill in 9999999999, but I noticed the 600 seconds maximum. I'd probably make a seperated photo album then for each photo. So Add Media again, import one photo and then Add media again to create multiple photo albums.
haha noticed the new outro! offset is the amount by which the picture is, out of line/moved away from its original position. And yaa the offset basically zooms in/out the picture. for eg, lets say you have Ken Burn effect turned on with Zoom set to "out" and now if you have an offset of lets say 22% it'll start zooming out from that offset which actually looks better with panning on but lets say you have the offset set to 100% it'll be really zoomed in and it'll zoom out from the 100% offset and usually it zooms out fast as well.

Not individually from a photo album. If you still want to pull this off, then you would need to add a photo for each photo album individually. So if a photo album has 5 photos, split that into 5 photo albums of 1 photo each. Then you can include them into the thumb list.
Hey, I'm currently doing a tour and have added various galleries with a hotspot. the galleries can be opened on the desktop. If you access dictatorship with a tablet or smartphone, you pull the hotspot but you cannot open the gallery. Do you have a solution to this problem? Thanks in advance.
Make sure the action to show/hide components has selected both General & Mobile skin of the Gallery skin component. It's very likely you've only got this only selected on General.
Hi Ronald, great tutorials! Without you I would be lost! :-) There is one thing... a bug?! When I want to click on the next image button in the album, the album closes! A bug in the new version?!
I think you have "Propagate click to parents" checked on for the image button. And that means that it listens to the containers that the image button is inside. So you probably have an action in one of these containers above that has "hide container with photo album". So either check that box propagate to parents or find that action and remove it.
Thanks for an informative tutorial. When I have multiple albums using the same viewer I get a very brief image of the prior photo album displayed in a photo viewer when I click a information hot spot that displays a new album in the same photo viewer. Am I doing something incorrectly or is there a way to purge the viewer on exit?
I see, that's quite annoying indeed. The best way for now is to disable the "effects" when show/hiding components. So turning off the default Fade and set it to None. I tried to purge the viewer on exit for you, but couldn't figure out any other way than above.

The problem i have when following these directions is whenever I get to select media element and go to import other the video uploads to the tour but not to the available window so I can't add it to the action... please check your fb message as I don't think I can send an image through here.

How can I create a photo abllum that handles photos with common fixed pixel size and how can I determine what pixel size I can use? I have a series of photos with the same dimensions (pixel size) and want an album that will handle that size? I just cannot seem to figure out how to do that.
You can determine the pixel size having your photo selected and change the Export Settings of this individual photo. Pro tip: you can select all photos holding SHIFT and then change the Export Settings of all photos in one go. Hope that answers your question.

Hey Jonathan! You're welcome 😁 Just looked at it again. And I believe it's only for thumbnails, meaning for internal use, not for how it looks inside the viewer. So I guess it's correct that it's a single photo even though Collage option is selected. 😅

My main viewer disappears/goes blank when the hotspot is clicked and the photo album appears, when the X button is used to close it, the main viewer remains blank. I can't find any actions that would be hiding my main viewer in the skin, hotspot or album. Where am I going wrong? EDIT- RESOLVED - I unchecked "include into PlayList" in the album options. No Idea why but there ya go.

The crazy thing is that we can't replace a single photo in the slideshow, we have to delete it and add a new one. We have no access to the target file/path of the selected image.
In the skin you can add a thumbnail list which automatically takes the media you're selecting in there with corresponding thumbnail images. Or maybe what you're looking for is to add a toggle button to the skin where the image in the button is 100% by 100% and the groupname is set to anything. So that on click of that button, it shows another image/thumbnail.
at the moment im using smaller image as thumbnail and on that small image thumbnail i'm adding action ( show ellemetn and hide element ) ... show element = the bigger image corresponding to the thumbnail , and hide element = hide all of the other bigger images so it's very manual :D
what i was wondering is how can you zoom in or out on the photo from the photo album. I just today added a photo album to my VT but I couldn't find any option where i could let the viewer zoom in or out of the photos!
As far as I know not possible with the photo album, but possible in different ways. If I'm not mistaken, action > popup image there is a way to do it. But also some other way by importing the photo as a panorama and setting hfov to 25/30/35 degrees.

I had some luck getting descriptions to appear in an album by using Add Action > Popup Media, instead of Open Album. A small description appears in the bottom of the photo if the user is hovering over the picture. It's not perfect, because there doesn't seem to be a way to control the appearance of the description text. Despite this, I've been using the Popup Media in my tours instead of the photoalbum viewer directly. Hope this helps someone!

Do you mean this?

Collapsible folder is made by using show/hide components to show an extra container which has buttons with actions to open photo albums.

Natively in 3DVista, I don't think so, custom html is very likely the way to go with this.

I know..! Better to use Skin CMS for slideshows. You, or anyone you invite to the airtable, can easily replace the photos. More info on skincms.com
