Fluttery thingy? Try get the basics of the groove and backbeats in the right place that’s the main thing to focus on!

That 1&3 thing always messed me up, could not wrap my head around the timing until I was told this

Great job explaining this drum part! I do believe what you’ve done here is what he plays on the original recording but on a live version he plays the heavy 1 & 3 on snare instead. Maybe for something a little different. I’ll add a link to that live version but I like what you’re doing better.
