I always wondered what you did for work in between restoring Military Vehicles. Thanks for sharing, and whatever you're doing, we're interested in watching!!! Cheers from across the pond in, RI, USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😉
I like to keep the membrane tight initially as, as the roof is loaded, walked over etc it will sag as it has. I appreciate your eye for detail but I assure you all is sweet as a nut 🙏🏼
@@johndownie9385 I didn’t make the video actually. So here’s an idea for you John, actually watch the video before having an opinion on it so you can be fully informed to who made it and who is in it.
@@thomasschafer7268 there is no need for counter batons, this would unnecessarily raise the overall height on the roof and if anything it would suffocate the timbers more than the way we have done it 👍🏼

@@rb67mustang thanks mate! Thanks for watching!
Great to see the old slates going back!
Always! Nothing wrong with them, the best slates are the oldest!
@@MrIanmmackay definitely! 👌
you roofer could do with a hammer tacker and a chalk line... Makes thing so much faster Maybe a cordless jigsaw for cutting the laths
I do have a chalk line as you'll see in the next video! I just ran out of dye for the line! Will look into a hammer tacker though!
The roof on my Bryant developer-built house had to be completely replaced after 24 years. My neighbours are in a similar position.
Why?
If you lived in North America that would be normal, We are the only continent to use disposable roofing, lol.
Different ! Not terrible, I always wondered why roofers cost so much, when it seems such an easy job😂😂
@@2zero660 my back said otherwise 😂
Black bogies to look forward to. 😂
@@markrainford1219 yep 🤣🤣
Cool vid
@@bertrandducouedic8621 thankyou!
Should you not have 10 mm drape gap between membrane and slate baton ? Or use counter batons if you want to keep the membrane tight ?

What about getting rid of all the crap inside first
You should try that with your mouth

Why didn’t u get rid of all that manky insulation before starting anew
That's my exact thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤣🤣🤣
The customers want to insulate, some time in the future! They're not ready for this step yet and we will come round to this at a later date! 👍🏼
It’s actually none of your business John
Average at best
