thank you so much for joining me today I reviewed how to stitch on the diagonal row by row one stitch at a time row by row color completing and cross country within the diagonal.
Thank you for this review of how you can stitch full-coverage projects. I plan to view this several times as I start my first (small) full-coverage project. Using Jan Hicks "Sante Fe Chilis". I am a big fan of your videos and tutorials. Thank you also for pushing me to consider a lower count fabric, I am in my mid 70's and almost thought I was going to have to give up on embroidery and cross stitching.
Oh Colleen please don’t give up. There is always a way to keep going. Change the fabric like i did. Find a magnifier that works for you. It may take some experimenting but you will find alternatives that work. Do i prefer higher count stitching. Yes for the look of the finished project. It was a very difficult decision. However it is not one i regret making. When the choice boils down to make changes or give up stitching the only choice is to make the changes. Giving up is not an option. I am so glad you enjoy my videos. Thank you so much for that. I hope you continue to enjoy them happy stitching
Another great video. Stitching smaller projects is my goal too as long as I am stitching. I like this piece you have chosen and hope to follow your progress.
Hi! So happy to stitch along with you 😊. That chart is so cute- and HAED is having a 50% off sale now, so you have enabled me to go buy it! Keep on stitching! You are so fun to stitch with.
Hi KB! Greetings from BLT - Thanks for the video and more info on diagonal stitching. I'm still trying to find my own BLT way with diagonals. Great new pattern! Cheers!
Finally got to stitch with you Mrs Karen and really enjoyed it. Question: the new way you were ending your threads...do you think that would work when using 2 strands of floss?? Hoping to catch your live in a bit...🥰
Great video. I am a new subscriber and saw on one of your videos you showed Dutch Beauty. Loved your color conversion to some brighter colors. Can you please share your conversion? Thanks.
Thanks Karen. I’ve not done a full coverage piece so consequently never tried diagonal stitching - so - I’m now feeling more confident in ‘having a go’ I have been trying to use pattern keeper but find it difficult to firstly put the file into it and then work out how the functions work. Do you have or know of a tutorial which might be helpful? I appreciate all your vlogs! 🐨

What count fabric are you using since I notice your using 1 strand of tread? I’m starting a HAED and using 25 ct fabric, I wanted to use tent stitch 2 strands but found way to bulky and warping even though I was using the back and forth row stitching method. What do you suggest on 25 count for tent, otherwise I guess I’ll need to work 1 over 1.
I am using 20 count fabric with one strand of floss full cross. I am quite happy with the coverage. And there is very little bulk. I really can’t speak much with regard to tent stitch. I don’t do tent stitch. As much as i want to like it i just don’t. How ever if you ask your question in the FB group. For the love of Diagonal cross stitching am sure someone can help you out.
The ballpoint helps in preventing splitting of the fabric thread or the floss already in the hole. I prefer the ballpoint needles for that reason. Only down side is when ending your thread. They can be difficult to get under the stitches
I started this as a regular size... ditched it when I realized there was a mini!!! I am loving it!!!
Thank you for the "Sundays at granny's" again :)
Thank you so much for this video. It was very informative!
I always learn something new from you! Thanks for sharing❣️

Beautiful chart Karen, looking forward to watching your progress on this. 😊

Nice to see a new start, glad your stitchy bug is back 😊

Wow that dark color looks just fine on 20ct. I thought there’d be more fabric show through. But even up close it looks good. Great to know. Thank you

How exciting, the one HAED I’m stitching is the regular size Magic City with Books!

I would not see why not. I can not tell where i have used it. So i think when stitching with 2 strands it would be the same
Hi! Thank you for this video! I was wondering how long do you cut your thread to stitch with?

Sure. Just send an email to klbugg@gmail.com and I will send it to you
Fabulous you are here now

Hi Karen, great watching your method. If you mark your own fabric, what do you use? Thank you. ❤❤❤
Hi Kathy. Thank you for the kind words. When i grid my fabric myself i use a Bohin Chalk Pencil. It is ceramic chalk and washes out easily
Thank you.
Would it be okay to use that method with two threads?
Absolutely.
Karen how does that work with a ball point needle?
The ballpoint helps in preventing splitting of the fabric thread or the floss already in the hole. I prefer the ballpoint needles for that reason. Only down side is when ending your thread. They can be difficult to get under the stitches
Not sure if it's just me but there's no sound 😞 x
Never mind, I just came out and went back in and it's working 😀
I think it was because it was still processing. RUclips was slow today
Hi Karen, you are not streaming, at least not in Canada.
this is a prerecorded one I will stream this weekend
Don't know why but there's no audio
I get audio but it is choppy. it may be because it is not done processing yet.. I will keep an eye on it. thanks
do you have sound now it is ok on my end
@@NeedleBugg all good now
